Beakon Mission Partnership Beakon Mission Partnership It is a play on the word beacon which denotes something which receives light and passes light on.

The Beakon Mission Partnership is between the churches of St Leonard and St Mary in Armthorpe, St Peter and St Paul in Barnby Dun and the Church of the Good Shepherd of Kirk Sandall and Edenthorpe.

'Beakon' is made up of the initials of each of the parishes we serve. As Christian communities we have received Jesus, the light of the world (John 8.12), and are responding to his call to be, ourselves, the light of the world (Matthew 5.14)
