And it's a wrap! The teams are home, the kit has been packed away, Baptist Assembly is over for another year.
Over 3 days we prayed, we sung, we talked, we listened. We shared stories of how God is moving in our contexts and how we are joining in (and expressed some of this in postcards placed on a giant map.)
We were challenged and encouraged by our speakers, we learnt in seminars and sponsor zones.
We presented and prayed for all our new ministers, pastors and RLMs, remembered those who have gone before us, and had a focus on equipping the next generation. We inducted our new President Alex and listened to what God has placed on his heart. We shared communion, and then some impromptu words. There was even a little crazy golf.
In both the planned programme and all the unplanned, between and after session chats that are such an integral part of the Baptist Assembly, it's our prayer that you were encouraged and strengthened in your service of Jesus. As one of our speakers said: "It is he โ Christ in you, the hope of glory โ whom we proclaim."
And next year we get to do it all again! Baptist Assembly 2027 is once more at the fabulous Harrogate Convention Centre (21-23 May 2027), and once more it will have a mission focus.
Interested in coming back? Or coming for the 1st time? We'd love to see you there. You can register for an early bird discount on our website (it doesn't commit you to coming - we'll simply send you a discount code to use when bookings open for 2027)
So thank you to all who made it this year, and for making Assembly what it is. We hope there were elements you loved! Inevitably there will be areas for reflection - so please look out for the feedback form being sent out this week - we take it all on board.
May God bless you and keep you
(Please note we're sorting through our photos, so watch this space! And read up on some of the Assembly reports now appearing in the Baptist Times)
