PRAYER GUIDE FOR 2024 CONGRESS
Exodus 40:34-38
Then the cloud covered the tabernacle of meeting, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. Whenever the cloud was taken up from above the Tabernacle, the children of Israel would go onward in all their journeys. But if the cloud was not taken up, then they did not journey till the day that it was taken up. For the cloud of the LORD was above the tabernacle by day, and fire was over it by night, in the sight of all the house of Israel, throughout all their journeys.
Preamble
We have been having Holy Ghost Congresses, but the theme for this year's edition is unique. “Onward Christian Soldier” as given to our Father in the Lord. Pastor E.A. Adeboye. There is no doubt that God is about to do unique things in our lives, in our families, in His church and our nation. From the above passage, the uniqueness of the Lord's doing in the lives of His army has to do with His glory and His abiding presence, as we can see by the symbol of fire and the cloud in the onward journey of Israelites on their way to destiny. Therefore let us be expectant of great manifestation of glory in this year’s Holy Ghost Congress as we use this prayer guide through the period of fasting.

DAY 1; GRATEFUL HEARTS [SACRIFICE OF THANKSGIVING]
BIBLE TEXT: Leviticus 22:29
INTRODUCTION: A grateful heart that offers sacrifices of thanksgiving acknowledges God’s blessings, mercy, and forgiveness. It approaches God with humility, joy, and faith, obeys His commands, and offers sacrificial worship. It is a heart that overflows with love for God, expressed in word and action.

DAY 2. MERCY AND FORGIVENESS BIBLE TEXT(S): Psa. 51:1-end, Hab. 3:2
INTRODUCTION:
Man, though created in God's image fell and lost smooth fellowship with God. God sent His only son, Jesus Christ to pay the price for the sin of man through His mercy, therefore as many that will confess and forsake their sins, the Lord is ready to forgive by His mercy. It is time to cry to God for mercy and forgiveness.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, stretch forth your hands of mercy and forgive me all my past errors in Jesus name.Ps.51:1.
2. Father, let mercy reign over judgment in my life, in Jesus name. Jam.2:13

We are commanded by the scripture to always pray for our leaders. When we pray, God has promised that He will not suffer their foot to be moved because he that keepeth Israel neither slumber nor sleep. Hence, let us pray for our Fathers in faith.

PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, thank you for your beloved son, Pastor Enoch, Adejare Adeboye, and your call upon his life in Jesus name.
2. Father, thank you for enabling your son to enter into a great covenant with you, in Jesus name. Exo 23:25

DAY 5: STANDING UPRIGHT IN VICTORY

INTRODUCTION: Life is a battle. As children of Light, we often find ourselves in battle against forces of darkness, however, there are assurances in the scripture that as long as we remain in the light, we are winners all the time. May these prayers, grounded in God's Word, strengthen our faith and equip us to stand upright in victory over all enemies in Jesus' name.

1. Father, we thank You for assured victory, by delivering us from the hands of all our enemies in Jesus' name Psa 34:17

DAY 6: PRAYER MINISTRY

INTRODUCTION:
Prayer is communication between man and divinity. When prayer is effective it avails much. God wants to do many things on the earth today, but it can only be accomplished through the active prayer ministry of the churches. Through prayers we bring to pass the will of God on earth.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, thank you for instituting the ministry of prayers and teaching us
how to pray in Jesus name. Ps. 100:4.
1. Father, thank you for who you are, the Almighty, the one who speak of a
thing and they come into existence in Jesus name. Ps. 95:2-3.
2. Father, thank you for answering our prayers whenever we call upon you in
Jesus name. Jer. 33:3.
3. Father, thank you because there is none like unto Thee, glorious in Holiness
fearful in praises in Jesus name. Ex 15:11

DAY 8: SOWING SEED OF DESTINY

It is an ordinance of God, that as long as this earth remains, the time to sow and reap will remain operational. Destiny is what God has predetermined a man to be and to become, in His Divine will. However, what you do and what you fail to do, are seeds sowed that largely determine your experience or harvest in the future.

1. Father, I thank you for opening our eyes to understand the principle of sowing and reaping in this kingdom in Jesus name.
2. Father, for every principle I have transgressed, let mercy reign over judgment in my life, in Jesus name. Mat7:8

Introduction: The presence of the Lord is our sure guarantee for progress as Christian Soldiers of the Cross. Whenever the glory of God is absent from our tabernacle joy will be elusive as sorrows will be inevitable. As the children of Israel went onward in all their journeys because God was with them, let us abide always in His presence Prayer points

INTRODUCTION:
Youth is the time of life when one is young. A time between childhood and adulthood and the glory of a young man is their strength. It’s a time that young fellows need to travail in prayers to be able to achieve their destiny and live a fulfilling life

1. Father, God, thank you for your unfailing love, blessings and goodness upon our youth in Jesus name. Ps.103:1-5
2. Father, please increase the faith of all our youth in you, in Jesus name. Luke. 17:5
3. Father, please guide and protect our young people from the path of destruction and deliver them from the spirit of worldliness, in Jesus name. Psa. 32:8

DAY 11: VICTORY OVER UNSEEN BATTLE

INTRODUCTION: The real battle of life is not physical, hence not visible. For example, emotional and spiritual battles. The scripture says, For we walk in the flesh we do not war after the flesh. Hence, the weapon of our warfare are not physical, they includes, forming alliance with Jesus, studying the word frequently, fervent prayer particularly in the Holy Ghost. etc.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, we thank you for opening our eyes to understand that our warfare is not with flesh and blood but with invisible forces. 2Co10:3
2. Father, we thank you because the greatest battle was won on the
cross at Calvary through our Lord Jesus Christ. Rev12:11
3. Father, we thank you for redeeming us from the kingdom of darkness
into your marvelous light. 1Pe2:9
4. Father, we thank you for the gift of Holy Spirit that help us to
understand the scripture.
5. Father, we thank you for the whole armour of God that is available
for our protection. Eph6:11.
6. Father, we receive great grace to walk in the Spirit so I will not fulfill
the lust of the flesh in Jesus name. Gal5:16
7. Father, help me to put the deed of the flesh to death to enable me

DAY 12: LEADERS AND GOVERNMENT

INTRODUCTION:
These are the people in authority, they are the decision-makers of the land. Their orders are being carried out by all or else one will be punished and as believers God instructed us to obey all authorities.
PRAYER POINTS:
1. Father, we thank you for our leaders because no one can lead except
God ordained it in Jesus name. Rom. 13:1.
2. Father, please put your fear and wisdom in the heart of our leaders in
Jesus name Matt. 15:14.
3. Father, uproot every plant that you have not planted in the government
of our Nation in Jesus name. matt.15:13.
4. Father, remove the wicked ones from government and leadership in our
nation in Jesus name Prov. 12:12-13.
5. Father, help our leaders to be people that are seeking for peace and
prosperity in their land in Jesus name Jer. 29:7.
6. Father, we pray that our leaders will be humble and seek the face of the
Lord in Jesus name
