We continue to pray for the tragedy of war that is unfolding in Ukraine, for the civilians caught up in fear for their lives on both sides of the border.
We will spend time this Sunday during our service praying for Ukraine, and the Archbishops of York and Canterbury are encouraging a day of prayer and fasting on Ash Wednesday.
Almighty God we pray for peace and protection in Ukraine, Russia and all other places in this world that are broken by war. Send your Holy Spirit to comfort the scared, grant compassion to our world leaders, and may your Kingdom of justice be known throughout the world. We pray for our own hearts to be open to peace and harmony and that we may deliver safe passages of refuge for those seeking safety. Amen 🙏
