It’s easy to feel anxious when we look at the world’s standards, where mistakes are counted, and perfection is expected. But the Psalm gives us a beautiful roadmap for how to approach God:

He is grounded in truth: His ways are right, stable, and completely just.

He leads with love: When we ask Him to guide us, He doesn't measure us by our flaws; He measures us by His merciful love.

Whatever decisions, stress, or quiet fears you are carrying into the rest of this week, pray this simple prayer: "Lord, treat me with Your merciful love." He hears you every single time.

Open House Weekend at Croydon Minster

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th September

Croydon Minster will once again be opening its doors for the annual Open House Festival. Everyone is warmly invited to come and explore our historic church, discover its rich heritage, or simply enjoy the space.

Saturday 12th September (11am – 5pm):

Self-guided tours available all day.

Tower Tours: 11am, 12pm, and 2pm led by Simon (Sid) (limited capacity; meet at the West End).

Sunday 13th September (12pm – 4pm):

Doors open following Sung Eucharist.

Guided Minster Tours: 12:30pm, 1:30pm, and 3pm led by Minster Education Officer David Morgan.

Admission is free, and all are welcome! Bring friends, family, and neighbours along.

First Sunday of the Month Collection: Supporting Crisis Skylight Croydon

This Sunday, 6th September, we invite you to contribute to our monthly collection for Crisis Skylight Croydon. Your donations directly support individuals in our community who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of homelessness.

If you are able to help, we are currently collecting the following items:

Toiletries: Toothbrushes, toothpaste, roll-on deodorants, moisturiser, and hand cream, new, unopened sun protection cream.

New Clothing: Men’s socks, boxers, ladies' socks, bras and knickers.

Unisex Basics: New or clean, good quality used… tee shirts, sweatshirts, hoodies, joggers.

How to Donate: Please bring your items to the service on Sunday. Your generosity makes a significant difference in providing comfort and essential dignity to those in need.

Today we celebrate the Feast of Saint Bartholomew the Apostle!

Often identified with Nathanael in the Gospel of John, Bartholomew was brought to Jesus by Philip. When Jesus saw him coming, he said:

“Here truly is an Israelite in whom there is no deceit.” -John 1:47

Bartholomew was transformed by his encounter with Christ and went on to faithfully preach the Gospel across distant lands. Today, we give thanks for his steadfast faith and witness.
