Great to have John Ponsford leading our service today.

We reflected on a simple but powerful question:
“How can we know the way?”

In today’s readings, we were reminded that we are not alone—we are part of something bigger, a people called out of darkness into light.

And even when life feels uncertain, we don’t have to figure everything out by ourselves:
“I am the way, the truth, and the life.”

If you’re searching for direction, meaning, or a place to belong, you’d be very welcome with us.

It was great to have Apollus Fleischer-Djoleto leading our service on Sunday.

A simple but meaningful reminder:
“There is a time for everything.”

In the middle of busy lives and changing seasons, it’s good to pause and reflect on what really matters.

If you’re ever exploring faith or looking for a place to connect, you’d be very welcome.

“He is not here; He has risen!” — Luke 24:6

May this Easter fill our hearts with peace, hope, and renewed faith in all that God has done and continues to do.

First Sunday of the Year. “Come and Get It”
On the first Sunday of the new year, John Ponsford led our service with an encouraging message titled “Come and Get It.” He reminded us that at the start of each year, many of us say, “This year will be different,” and try to change how we approach our lives.
John spoke about the small habits and rituals people rely on, like footballers before a big match or politicians before an important speech, things we do to give ourselves confidence when we are about to step forward and put our reputation on the line.
He reminded us that God understands all of this because in Jesus Christ, our human experiences, our fears, hopes, and challenges have been shared.
The message “Come and Get It” invites us to see that God is already offering us His strength, guidance, and blessing. The question is whether we are ready to come to Him in faith and receive what He is calling us into, rather than relying only on our own routines and expectations.
John left us with a question to carry into the year ahead:
“How are we expecting to see God at work in our lives?”
May we enter this New Year with faith, openness, and expectation, trusting that God is at work among us and within us.

As we start this New Year, we remember the question John Ponsford asked on New Year’s Eve: “Why are we here?” We gathered to thank God for His faithfulness throughout the year gone by, and to seek His guidance for the days ahead.
We are called to be a people of prayer, praying early, praying often, and trusting God with every hope and every need. Jesus reminds us:
John 15:16 (NIV) “…so that whatever you ask the Father in my name, He may give it to you.”
So in this new season, may we hold nothing back in prayer and boldly place our lives and our church in God’s hands.
Let us rise, pray, and get on with God’s work serving with love, walking in faith, and sharing the hope of Christ with all.
Happy New Year and may God bless and keep us in the year ahead.
