Bethel New Life Centre

Bethel New Life Centre Bethel is a small community church, right in the middle residential side street, serving the local community and beyond.

We are a bible based church and all our teaching is from the bible. If it isn't in the bible we don't teach it

Dear God,
I trust You with all of my heart and soul. In the moments when trusting You feels difficult, strengthen my faith and help me press through every challenge, uncertainty, and pain. Remind me that Your character is good and Your faithfulness never changes. “When I am afraid, I put my trust in you.” (Psalm 56:3)

Help me to trust You with every fiber of my being… with my future, my family, my decisions, my fears, and everything I cannot see or understand. When doubt rises, let my heart declare again, “God, I trust You.” Teach me to lean on You, draw strength from Your presence, and walk forward in confidence that You are with me through it all.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
When I catch myself measuring my life against someone else's, pull my eyes back to You. When comparison steals my joy, when scrolling leaves me feeling behind, or when I start believing I am not enough, remind me that I am already held by Your love. Quiet the urge to compete and teach me to rest in who You say I am. Soften envy where it has taken root. “A heart at peace gives life to the body, but envy rots the bones.” (Proverbs 14:30)

Father, free me from jealousy, insecurity, and the need to keep up. Help me celebrate others without shrinking myself, and walk in gratitude for the path You have given me. Keep my heart content, my mind steady, and my focus on becoming more like the Lord each day as I trust Your timing.

In Jesus' name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
When I’m frustrated and things aren’t going my way, help me to slow down and receive Your peace. Keep me from allowing frustration to control my thoughts, words, or actions. Help me release every burden into Your hands and trust You with what I cannot control. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.” (1 Peter 5:7)

Jesus, You are the Prince of Peace, and I ask You to quiet my heart and help me rest in Your presence. Even when my circumstances aren’t perfect, remind me that I can still have perfect peace in You. Help me breathe, trust, surrender, and remember that You are with me. In every frustration today, let my first response be to turn to You and rest in Your peace.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

This is something you may want to consider. I was on you tube and I saw a video about an American Pastor called David. He gives an account of something that happened to him and made him really think about his life, his church, his congregation and his teachings. Basically he had had an experience (I will leave the you tube link so you can watch and decide for yourself as to what you think. Without going into full detail I am highlighting a couple of things that he shared.
As a Pastor he had for many years taught the Gospel, but in a sugar coated way. Not ever sharing the full truth. He had concentrated on the prosperity gospel and never really taught the truth. As far as I am aware in the Bible it tells us there are 2 paths. The wide path which many will enter, and the narrow path which only a few choose. Of course the wide path is where people are led astray and the path is easy. We all choose that way initially as being human we like things that are easy. But when we give our lives to the Lord and we get onto the narrow path life can be quite hard and challenging at times. But we are assured that Jesus will never leave us or forsake us, he is there with us every step of the way.
Hebrews 13:5 tells us this
So yes the narrow path may be hard but we shall receive our reward when we get to the end. A life spent with Jesus, not just now but for evermore. The wide path may be easy but it does not lead to eternal life with Jesus it leads to eternal separation from God.
One other thing that struck me about this man's video is how reliant we are on modern technology. I am as guilty as the next person for probably using my phone and other devices far too much. But we shouldn't rely on them totally. I still have several paper copies of the Bible. It is good not to be reliant on technology. Technology can and does fail. Pen and ink does not. If there was a power cut our technology stops. Also a point that David made was technology can be interfered with, Unless we were fully 100% sure of every word how would we know if the words had been changed? Pen and ink cannot be changed. Printed Bibles cannot be changed. Writing down scriptures in pen and ink is a great way of helping us to remember scriptures. Is your Bible sitting on a shelf collecting dust or do you rely totally on technology?
There were a couple of other things on the video that he pointed out but for now I will leave these thoughts with you

Dear God,
Thank You for everything You have given me and for every blessing in my life. Because of You, I can hold my head high, knowing my life has purpose and that You are for me and not against me. “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31)

Father, keep my heart grateful and my eyes fixed on You. Help me walk today with confidence in Your love, trusting that You are with me in every step. Let thankfulness shape the way I think, speak, and live.

In Jesus' name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
Renew my heart and give me a steadfast spirit today that is locked in on You. When thoughts or ideas enter my mind that are not godly, help me recognize them, take them captive, and refuse to dwell on them. “We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.” (2 Corinthians 10:5)

Help me fill my mind with Your truth and set my thoughts on things above. Teach me to dwell on whatever is true, honorable, pure, lovely, and worthy of praise. Let Your Word shape the way I think, feel, and respond today. Keep my heart focused on Your will, my mind anchored in Your truth, and my life aligned with You.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
Thank You for the incredible grace You have given me. I have received so much undeserved favor, mercy, and forgiveness from You. Help me to see extending that same grace to others not merely as an option, but as an obligation of love. “Forgive as the Lord forgave you.” (Colossians 3:13)

Let the grace You have poured into my life overflow freely to those around me. When people disappoint, offend, or hurt me, remind me how gracious You have been toward me. Help me forgive quickly, show mercy generously, and walk in patience and compassion. May I become more like You today, freely giving to others the grace I have so freely received.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
Thank You for giving me clarity and direction for my calling in life and showing me how I can best serve You. There are many ways I can serve and be a part of the body of Christ, so I ask You for wisdom and clear direction. “We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us.” (Romans 12:6)

Show me where my gifts, opportunities, and calling can make the greatest impact for Your Kingdom. Help me recognize what You are asking me to give my time, energy, and attention to in this season. Give me courage to say yes when You lead and wisdom to say no when needed. I want my life to be fully available to You. Lead me into the work You have for me and help me serve You faithfully.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏

Dear God,
When I lacked direction, You guided me every step of the way. Thank You for giving my life purpose and clarity. I don’t have to wake up wondering what I’m here for, because my calling is found in You. “For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” (Ephesians 2:10)

Thank You that I get to be part of Your Kingdom and Your will on earth. Help me to live as an ambassador for Christ, representing You with boldness, love, and integrity. Use my life to usher in Your Kingdom and reflect Your heart wherever I go.

In Jesus’ name, amen. 🙏
