Friday, 12th June is the Feast of the Sacred Heart. The will be a High Mass at 6pm, at which the Oratory Choir will sing music of Byrd, Gjeilo, and Wilton.

The Feast of the Sacred Heart marks the beginning of our Forty Hours Devotion. After the 6pm Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed in our church throughout the night.

Pope Leo XIII wrote in 1899 that “there is in the Sacred Heart a symbol and a sensible image of the infinite love of Jesus Christ which moves us to love one another”.

Spend some time with Our Lord during the Forty Hours. There is much for which we should pray. Place those hopes and intentions before Christ's Sacred Heart.
