2026 marks 500 years since William Tyndale printed the first English New Testament. He faced significant opposition and as a result died on 6th October 1536.

To celebrate Tyndale's legacy, from midday on Sunday 4th October to 5pm on Wednesday 7th October the whole Bible (NIV translation) will be read aloud, continuously, from the Sanctuary steps of Blackburn Cathedral. There are 150 fifteen-minute daytime slots, sign up using the link below.

As part of Blackburn Cathedral's centenary celebrations, hear the whole Bible read aloud, cover to cover, non-stop over 3 days. All are welcome to take part.
