🇭🇹⚽ A World Cup memory rediscovered
More than five decades ago, a young boy became part of one of the most iconic images in Haitian football history.
His name is Miro Magloire. At only 3½ years old, he walked onto the pitch alongside Haiti’s national team during the 1974 FIFA World Cup, proudly carrying a football and wearing a white hat that read “Haiti.” ❤️🇭🇹
Born in Germany to a Haitian father and a German mother, Miro became an unforgettable symbol of Haiti’s first appearance on football’s biggest stage. 🌍⚽
Today, he is a respected choreographer in New York City and founder of the New Chamber Ballet.
As Haiti prepares for another World Cup adventure in 2026, Miro’s story serves as a reminder that the pride, passion, and memories of 1974 continue to inspire new generations of Grenadiers fans. 🇭🇹🏆✨
