10 am Opening by William Gray BSc(Hons) MRICS, Portfolio Holder for Housing Communities & Better Ageing ELDC
10.30 – 11am Talk by Andrew on volunteering and other activities at the Corn Exchange
11 – 12 noon Pop in and sing community choir
12 – 1pm Poetry taster session
Leather working class
1pm – 2pm Knitting & crochet classes
2pm – 3pm Rhythm and Steel band workshop- numbers limited. Sign up on the day
3pm – 4pm Talk on the church bells and ringing including a tour of the bell tower
Quilling class
Flower arranging session
There will be all day refreshments and exhibits in the church on volunteering and activities including:

The Alford Hub/Community Table CIC
The Corn Exchange
Alford Windmill
4pm A Service of Celebration

Churches Count on Nature Week: 6-14 June 2026.
CCoN Week is when we try to record as much as we can of the flora and fauna to be found in churchyards.
Ruth will be on site at St Helena's, Willoughby, Saturday 6th (10am – 12noon); Mon 8th – Fri 12th (2-4pm each day) and Saturday 13th (10am -12noon) to guide you to the sights and sounds of our churchyard and encourage you to record and appreciate what we see. Refreshments provided.
