The Mothers' Union has been running for 150 years. As an organisation it has always stood up for women, children and families both overseas and in the UK. Much of its campaigning work here has focused on raising awareness of domestic abuse. 1 in 3 women suffer!
On Friday as part of the regular cafe church in St Mary's our MU branch will be selling, cakes, bric-a-brac and having a raffle.
We will also be collecting brand new knickers to be donated to the local women's refuge. We hope to collect 150 pairs.
