St Patrick's Church Chislehurst

St Patrick's Church Chislehurst St Patrick's is a vibrant and welcoming church, serving the people of Chislehurst West. St Patrick's Parish, Chislehurst West has been operating since 1961.

It has an interesting and chequered history, telling the story of a small cinema converted into a church which has survived first as a "chapel of ease" and now as an active parish in the Southwark Diocese. St Patrick's proudly boasts over 50 years of service in Chislehurst, and today is a vibrant and welcoming parish church that continues to go from strength to strength. Parish Priest: Fr Mario Ny

cz
Parish Deacon: Roger Evans

Sunday Masses at 8am and 9:15am. Daily Masses are at 9:30am Monday-Saturday. Sacrament of Reconciliation is available after the 9:30am Mass on Saturdays; at other times on request.

We had a fabulous big Summer Tea Party on Sat 13th July. Held at St Patrick's Church, about 65 came from different churches and the wider community and enjoyed food, music and dancing.

"I am writing on behalf of Fr. Mario and as the Event organiser to say a very BIG THANK YOU to everyone who made the day such a huge success."

"There were so many who shared their time, talents, gifts, cooking including Fr. Mario and Doug who stood tirelessly getting the Polish Sausages, BBQ, burgers etc ready and on time for the afternoon. Ann and Diane and John who decorated the hall, Mimie and Bobby for their dancing, Henry Gaughan and family for the wonderful music, Marie Stella and her colleague for their singing, Nelly, Rosa, Angela, James and Patsy who stood in the kitchen serving all the teas and coffees making sure everyone had something to eat and drink, Paul for the Quiz, Nathan and his brothers for helping with the prayers, Fr. Paul Farthing for the amazing speech summarising the beauty of sharing and coming together - the ultimate reason for the event each year."

"They are so many people whose names have not been listed but who worked so hard and last but not the least the special guests “everyone who turned up in person or was with us in spirit" the Lord Himself says thank you to every one and I ask Him to continue to bless and reward each and everyone with His abundant blessings."

"Thank you!! thank you!! thank you."

LITTLE CHURCH COFFEE MORNING ☕️
Sunday 29th Jan, in the hall after 9:15am mass.

All parents, carers and children welcome. If you would like to, please bring one item of food that your child would like to eat and an activity (board games, crafts etc) but nothing with small pieces as there will be very young children present.

We'd love more people to get involved so if that interests you we will explain more about how you can help at the coffee morning. We look forward to seeing you there!

We are looking for volunteers to join our cleaning teams on a rota basis. If there are enough volunteers the time commitment would be less than an hour every second week. Many hands make light work! If you are interested please see Fr Mario or Deacon Roger.

A thought from today's newsletter...
If you were on trial for being a Christian, would there be enough evidence to convict you?

Father George has been with us for nearly 12 years and it is almost time to wish him farewell as he begins his retirement...he leaves us this Sunday, 6th Dec. There will be coffee in the hall after the 10am mass along with the presentation of gifts and cards and we hope that you will join us to say goodbye. We would be most grateful for any food contributions, please spread the word!
