Great Ecc S&N School 2026
What an amazing week we had at Great Eccleston with almost 50 children, playing football and netball and sharing the Good News of Jesus! Praise the Lord for great weather, lots of fun had, loads of Bibles going into homes, and many putting their trust in Jesus!

We're so thankful for the team that the Lord brought together for this year's tour to France. It was wonderful to have team devotions each day studying the book of Philippians together, as well as times of testimony and prayer. On a physical level, with just 11 players and 7 games in 7 days, the joy of the Lord was our strength! We thank God for all He was faithful to do and for the joy of playing for Him ⚽️

When reflecting on this last week in France, the verse Ephesians 3:20 comes to mind...

'Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory'

He really did do more than we could ask or imagine! We had 6 games planned, but the Lord brought about another one. 7 games in 7 days and God gave us the strength for each one and some amazing opportunities to share Jesus, not only with players but their families and friends also. Conversations ran into the early hours and we returned to our accommodation with tired legs but rejoicing hearts!
'...to Him be glory'

It was wonderful to be back in France, playing football, making friends, and sharing Christ! Our first 3 games in 3 days were Fleurie, Belleville and Hurigny. The welcome and hospitality of the teams, which have now become our friends, has been humbling, and each night we've been chatting into the early hours about the life changing message of Jesus Christ. The Lord has blessed us with precious times of football, fun and fellowship! More games to come!

What an amazing day we had on Saturday at our 20th Annual Netball Tournament! God graciously held off the rain, making it a perfect day for netball!
We had 4 teams participate in our Junior Section in the morning. Congratulations to Capernwray Crocs, our reigning champions, and Capernwray Sharks, our runners-up! Well done to all!
In the afternoon, 14 teams competed in 2 pools for our Adult Tournament, followed by semifinals and finals. Congratulations to TopCats for winning the treble and to our runners-up, Lune Valley Ospreys.
Anthony Marsh shared a clear and thought-provoking Gospel message midway through the day.
Thank you to everyone who played, managed, umpired, scored, supported, and helped in any way. We pray that the message shared and the literature taken will have a lasting impact and that God will continue to speak to those who heard.
Praise the Lord!

On Saturday we had our annual mens 5aside tournament at Lancaster University. It was a fantastic afternoon with 12 teams taking part from as far away as Liverpool in the south and Ulverston in the North! After some very close games, the semi finalists were Parr Street (Kendal), Caton, Flying Without Ings (Bentham) and Hope FC (Lancaster). In the final Parr Street raced into a 2-0 lead, only to be finally beaten 4-3 by the winners, Flying Without Ings!
A big thank you to Dave Sharples from the4points.com who came and shared the Gospel message with around 120 people! Thank you to everyone who played or supported!

What a brilliant time we had at Caton S&N School last week! Almost 90 children came along for a week full of fun, football, netball, and faith. It has been wonderful to share with the children and look at some of life's big questions.
We had an amazing day on Saturday as parents and families came along to support, and it was great to see the school hall full on Sunday morning as we held our awards service.
Thank you to everyone who helped make the week possible! Praise God for the beautiful weather, many answered prayers, and for children giving their lives to Jesus!
