This Sunday we will have the annual 'Blessing of the Backpacks' service in the Primary School at 11am - bring your backpack or other symbol of school or work as we begin another academic year by asking for God's blessing on our school and each other.

There will be brunch-style snacks and drinks available and we'll explore the theme through craft, music, readings and reflection - young and old, whatever age or stage, it'd be great to see you there!

St Peter's are back in the school this Sunday for our monthly all-age gathering at 11am. We will be thinking about the symbolism of water and there will be plenty of opportunities to get hands on with some of the wet stuff!

As always there will also be coffee, breakfast snacks, music and discussion in a relaxed and friendly community. I hope you'll take the opportunity to join us, even if you've never been before, you're assured a warm welcome.

St Peter's church will once again be offering an Easter Arts and Craft drop in session on Good Friday (18th) at the Village Hall. There will be free refreshments and engaging crafts for all ages from 10.30am, so just drop in when you can!
We will also have our virtual Easter Story Trail set up round the village again, just follow the map at the link below and scan the QR codes as you find the eggs for information and activities related to the Easter narrative.

The 6th of April is the first Sunday of the month so we are back in the School Hall for our monthly Coton Praise gathering. This month we are asking, "Did Jesus have smelly feet?!" There are more foot washing stories in the Bible than you might think (they usually come before eating), this month we are looking at one where the person washing the feet used special scented oils...

If this sounds weird then come along and explore what it all means with us. Did you spot that the paragraph above alluded to each of the senses? We'll be doing the same as we engage each of our senses at different points in the service.

There will be the usual mix of breakfast snacks and drinks, a craft activity, music, pictures, prayers and praises. Come and see (and smell and taste and hear and touch!)

This Sunday we will be exploring the way we present ourselves to others, through the use of waffles, chocolate and games! Come along to the school (follow signs to the back gate) for an hour of something quite different... suitable for all ages and stages this completely free event is a chance to meet, discuss and learn a little about the Christian faith in a relaxed environment.

Coton Praise is back in the school this month following our successful trial in September. As it is harvest season we will be looking at 'thankfulness' with songs, craft activities, open discussion and sharing; all in a relaxed environment with refreshments provided.

Come along at 11am to see what we get up to, you're guaranteed a warm welcome! We use the back gate of the school so that everyone can enjoy level access to the hall, just follow the signs...

St Peter's 101: Rev Barnabas is going to complete an epic 101 mile cycle ride this month to raise money for WCCYM and St Peter's. These two charities work together to support young people in Coton and the surrounding area; St Peter's in partnership with with Coton Primary and WCCYM working with young people who have moved on to Comberton Village College. 'Blessing of the Backpacks' - This Sunday 1st September 11am at Coton Primary School

Join us for an adventure as St Peter’s moves to the school for our monthly family service!

This month is a special back to school edition – made extra special as we move to the excellent school facilities and offer a different way of thinking about faith and life. As a new academic year starts, we will have a special ‘blessing of the backpacks’ (and indeed the whole school!), so bring along your backpack, laptop or another symbol of your work or studies for a blessing.

We'll also be making some cute accessories for your backpack or keyring so you can carry a reminder of that blessing into the new school year.

If you've never tried Coton Praise before, now is a great time to come along and join in with our new venture, we're really looking forward to it!
