We host the fabulous annual family Burscough Methodist Players Pantomime plus fun fundraising events for the local community throughout the year!

Weekly rehearsals commence each September for the end of January opening performance.

Sorry! Our stage is full! 😢

Firstly we just want to say well done to every single one of our children this year, they have been absolutely incredible & a joy to be around. Our chaperone team feel so lucky to have such a fabulous bunch who get on so well & are supportive of one another. 🤩

However we need to let people know (we get lots of enquiries), that we are at capacity for the next few years 😢 There is simply not enough space in Church or on stage for any more cast members (children or adults) to safely perform. We have tried to think of a way to accommodate everyone that has asked, but we can't compromise on child welfare ❤️ There are many great performing arts groups in and around Burscough so we hope everyone will be able to find a fabulous alternative 🥰

Hi Folks ❤️ Keep your eyes peeled this Easter 👀👀👀👀 as from this Thursday, Turbo Timmo aka Frank and his bestie Brian will be placing freebies all over the area. You may recognise them both from panto for being the best raffle tickets sellers of all time 😂❤️

Right then folks — time to dust off those dancing shoes and dig out your finest summer glad rags… this is your official warning 😄

🎟 Tickets for our next fundraiser go on sale Sunday 10th May!
BUT… if you’re the early bird (and we know you are), you can grab yours a day early at our Comedy BINGO Night on Saturday 9th May at The Stanley Club.

And yes — the one and only Brian will be there in person selling tickets.

It’s set to be a great night full of laughs, good company, and support for three brilliant causes.

So, you've been warned.

This is a bit unusual.. Tickets went on a sale a couple of weeks ago and we still have a few tickets left! We're thinking maybe the word hasn't got out and the people of Burscough haven't heard about it!

Oh no we didn’t… oh yes we did! 👠✨
What a fun time we had with Cinderella – and not just any Cinderella… a full-on, two-level panto spectacular.
For the kids? Sparkles, slapstick and plenty of “He’s behind you!”
For the grown-ups? Let’s just say… if you caught the innuendos, you caught them. And if you didn’t… well, that’s probably for the best. 😏

Take a bow to our unforgettable Ugly Triplets – Kylie, Mylie & F***y (yes, we went there). Icons. Legends. Possibly banned from several counties.
And our FOUR Fairy Godmothers:
🧁 Fairy Cake – permanently stuffing her face. Method acting at its finest.
💡 Fairy Lights – our true millennial. Probably tried to fix Cinderella’s life with WiFi and a ring light.
🧚 Fairy Faffer – fairy in training… heavy on the faff.
📖 Fairy Tales – the fearless leader. Saints will be named after her for keeping that lot in line.
Chaos. Glitter. Questionable wigs. Absolutely worth it.
But the best bit?
Every ticket, every raffle strip, every cup of tea and coffee was for our Church Hall Restoration Fund…

And we’ve raised a whopping £8,961! 🎉

That’s not just magic — that’s community spirit (with a bit of glitter stuck to it).
So proud of this cast, crew and everyone who supported.
Absolutely EVERYONE who is involved with the pantomime, from writing, producing, professional actors (ahem 👌), backstage, refreshments, music, choreography, prompting (we REALLY need them!) is a volunteer, so HUGE thank you to every single one of our volunteers and to YOU 🫵 our loyal audience.

Same time next year then? 😁

And that’s another year done & dusted 👏👏👏
Once again, the Directors swore mid-rehearsals (high stress, low memory capacity) that they were NEVER doing it again 🤣

Massive thanks to our loyal supporters and to the brave newbies who joined us this year 😍

The feedback has been incredible as always, and there’s no better feeling than making a room full of people laugh all night.

Right then… same time next year 🥂😏
