Trials are blessings in disguise. If you want proof, ask anyone around. Every person has overcome something seemingly impossible. Take the time to grow your faith in trials and challenges by asking for some.

Turning to Christ is hard because of the humbling process but He lifts burdens. He has, He is and I know He will lift my burdens.

This light is essential to our search for truth. Truth of who God is and what He has in store for us. As we let this light guide us we will see a progression in ourselves from who we are to who God needs us to be. A more fulfilled disciple of Jesus Christ. The Light of Christ blesses lives all the time through the little things that lead us without our knowing. This light comes through those we meet, situations we are in, or paths we are not sure to take. Prayer is a great way to tune into recognizing this light.

Faith is an action word. It's like a muscle. It needs to be exercised in order to grow and become stronger. Faith and hope go hand-in-hand. Hope is the expectation that your faith is correct. Hope cannot be achieved while your faith is staying dormant. We must continue to search for answers and help others to do the same.

"Our words, like our deeds, should be filled with faith and hope and charity, … so desperately needed in the world today. With such words, spoken under the influence of the Spirit, tears can be dried, hearts can be healed, lives can be elevated, hope can return, confidence can prevail." -Elder Jeffrey R. Holland

Faith can move the mountains in our lives. I have seen it and I will bear witness of it because it has done so for me.

Repentance is a blessing, not a burden. Holding ourselves responsible and being sufficiently humble should never be a bad thing. When we repent, we are humbling ourselves to the Lord and it helps us to understand more fully his sacrifice on the cross and his suffering in the Garden of Gethsemane.

Through repentance we allow Jesus Christ to lift us from our burdens and help us to become stronger.

There is no catch. All that is asked is a "broken heart and a contrite spirit." It is an invitation to do better. Repentance is hard because change is hard and it causes us to hold ourselves accountable.

How is the Book of Mormon like a lighthouse... because it leads us all safely home. Back home to our father in Heaven. The pure doctrine of Jesus Christ is found in the Book of Mormon. The Book of Mormon and the Bible go hand in hand. They both support each other. These are both testaments of Jesus Christ and teach us how we can come closer to Christ, understand God and his nature, and utilize gifts that our Father in Heaven has given us like agency, repentance, forgiveness, prayer, and testimonies.

Families are an essential part of God's Plan of Happiness. Families are meant to last for the eternities. Nowadays, families are becoming less and less united. The need for the gospel of Jesus Christ is more prominent now then it has ever been.

"The family is sacred in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and is the most important social unit in time and eternity. God has established families to bring happiness to His children, allow them to learn correct principles in a loving atmosphere, and prepare them for eternal life."

Every family has hard times, it's necessary. Every family is a divinely-called unit to last for the eternities.

I'm grateful for the joy that I have found in my family and for each of them inidividually.

The true story of the restoration through Joseph Smith teaches pure and simple truths that apply into all lives. It teaches that God answers prayers when you seek Him, that forgiveness is readily available, that God still calls prophets today, and that Christ's church has been restored to the earth today established through priesthood authority and it bears the name of Christ.

"That in the dispensation of the fulness of times he might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in him." Ephesians 1:10

Joseph Smith prayed and got an answer, I know this is true because I have done the same. I know that answers to prayers are available we just have to knock like the scripture says:

"Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." - 3 Nephi 14:7
