Harvest Festival yesterday morning. The gifts came up to the altar in carrier bags, carried by children and adults alike, and every one goes to local charities and foodbanks 🛍️

Come and sow something that outlasts you. Bring your children, and let them carry the bag up next year. 🙌

There are groups for every age 👨‍👩‍👧, from the family area to senior school on Thursdays.

Gent's breakfast 🍳, ladies nights 💅, a gym group 💪 and so much more.

Rich toward God. Luke 12 🌾

It's Harvest Festival, and in the Gospel a rich man has a bumper harvest and one plan: bigger barns, then eat, drink and be merry 🍷 He dies that night, and every bit of it stays behind.

Fr Myles puts it plainly: wealth is not found in your bank account, but in the gift you give to others 🎁 Being rich toward God means putting what we have built to work for Him, for our community, for neighbours in need, and for the next generation.

That last one is the lesson closest to home 👨‍👧‍👦 The barns stay behind. What you pour into your children is the harvest that outlives you 🌱

So bring them on Sunday, and let them see you give. Watch Fr Myles on this week's Gospel below 🎥

Saturday 3rd, from 2-4pm, the last of our musical open afternoons this summer, with a chance to have a go at playing St Clement's Church organ.

Next Sunday, 4th October, will see two family-favourite services: the Harvest Festival Mass in the morning, with a food collection for local charities, and our pet blessing service in the afternoon. We look forward to seeing you!

One generation shall praise your works to another. Psalm 145 📖

The people who built this church are long gone. What they handed to us endures, Sunday after Sunday 🕯️

In this week's Gospel the men hired at the eleventh hour are paid the same as those who carried the heat of the day ☀️ What matters is that the work is done, and that it is done together.

Come and take your place. The eleventh hour counts the same as the first. It is never too late to join your community! 🔥

So stand where your fathers stood, and pass it on in better shape than you found it. There are groups for every age 👨‍👩‍👧, from the family area to senior school on Thursdays.

On Saturday 3rd October, we will be hosting our first Clothes Swap (in aid of the Mothers’ Union). 🧥👗👠👒
