Reset Church is an Elim Pentecostal Church. Ministry in Elim today sees men and women ministering as pastors, evangelists, pioneers, missionaries, chaplains and in specialist areas that are serving local churches as well as our Movement nationally. We ordain women and men into church ministry on the same basis. Women and men have been through the same training and discernment process and have prov

ed their ministry against the same standards. We believe that God gifts men and women equally into positions of church leadership at every level. It is our intention that this is fully understood and accepted at every level of church life. Elim is committed to creating healthy churches and safe spaces for all. We recognise the ways in which children and adults can be at risk of harm or abuse, so endeavour to create a culture to minimise opportunities for abuse to occur. Children rely on adults to keep them safe, therefore all our churches working with children, either directly or indirectly, are committed to safeguarding children in their care. We seek to do this by providing a safe, stable, and nurturing environment where children can reach their full potential. Similarly, within our churches there are adults in need of protection, care and support due to vulnerability, whether that is a permanent or temporary state. We are aware too that within our churches there are relationships of trust, which flourish best within healthy churches and environments, where there is openness, transparency and accountability. We firmly believe that safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and all involved in the life of our churches and activities have a role to play in keeping children, young people and adults safe. Message us to see the Reset Church safeguarding policy including contact details of our safeguarding co-ordinators. If you wish to raise a concern regarding safeguarding within the Elim organisation, the following form can be used to notify the National Safeguarding Coordinator. (A copy of the form will also be emailed to the person completing the information). https://pro.formview.io/ #/onddymgvfxbloms/elimonlinereferrallive

So, what is Heart House? 🤍

We started Heart House in January with a fairly simple, but deeply held, hope:

To build a healthy expression of church.

Not perfect. Not polished. Not a place where everyone thinks, behaves or believes exactly the same way.

But a church that is Jesus-centred, Spirit-led and trauma-informed.

A house of worship and a house of healing. A place where difference can sit side by side.

Heart House grew out of the coming together of Reset and Oasis, two church communities with their own stories and histories. But we didn’t want to simply create a new name for the same thing. We wanted to make space for something new.

And somehow, as we’ve journeyed through these first months, that’s what we’re seeing.

People from different places and different seasons of life finding their way through the doors. Old friendships deepening. New friendships forming. People discovering gifts they didn’t know they had. People quietly stepping forward and taking responsibility for the things they care about.

There’s no “them” and “us”.

Just us.

This first year has been foundational for us. We’ve been thinking a lot about formation - not simply what we believe, but who we’re becoming.

What does it look like to become more like Jesus in the ordinary stuff of Tuesday afternoon?

How do we learn to love like him?
See people like him?
Make room like him?
Listen to the Spirit like him?

Because we don’t just want to talk about following Jesus on a Sunday. We want his life to shape the way we live.

We’re part of the Elim Movement, and we love the richness of our Pentecostal heritage, making room for the Holy Spirit, expecting God to move and believing that encountering Jesus changes us.

And we’re learning to hold that alongside a deep conviction that people’s stories matter. That’s why being trauma-informed is part of our foundation. But trauma isn’t the centre of our story.

Jesus is.

Our eyes are turned towards the goodness of God, his redeeming nature and the wholeness he is always drawing us towards.

We’re still learning. Still growing. Still figuring some of it out. But perhaps that’s part of the beauty. Heart House isn’t a finished thing.

We’re becoming. Together.

And the more we discover who Jesus is, the more we’re discovering what it means to be a people who make room for every heart to find home with him.

If you’ve been wondering what Heart House is about, perhaps the simplest way to find out is to come and be part of it.

Come as you are. Come curious. Come with questions. Come with faith, or not much faith at all.

There’s room for you here. 🤍

Guess what? It’s Sunday tomorrow… and we’re BACK!🤍

After an awesome August summer rhythm, we’re back to our regular Sunday gatherings at 10.30am, with prayer from 10.20am for anyone who’d like to join us.

It’s going to be so good to be together again. A chance to worship, connect, encourage one another and experience the stirring of the Lord. 🤍

Heart House is all of us. It’s not just what happens at the front, it’s the conversations, the welcomes, the prayers, the laughter, the serving and the encouragement we give each other.

And if you’ve never been before, or it’s been a while, you’d be very welcome. Come as you are, grab a coffee, meet some lovely people and discover something of a life with Jesus in it.

And if someone comes to mind as you’re reading this, why not invite them along? No pressure, no expectations - just a warm welcome and a place to belong. 🤍

We’re so looking forward to being together again! 🤍

🌿 A little Heart House update - lots to remember! 🌿

A huge thank you to everyone who has joined in with our summer rhythm over the past few weeks. From worship and music to creativity, food, laughter and connection, it’s been such a joy to share these moments together. 🤍

There is no gathering at Heart House this Sunday, so we hope you enjoy the extra space to rest, recharge and enjoy the bank holiday weekend.

And if you’re heading to Big Church, we hope you have an amazing time! 🙌

✨ Our usual Sunday morning rhythm returns on Sunday 6th September at 10.30am, with prayer from 10.20am for anyone who would like to join us.

We’re also making a small change to our daily reflections. Rather than sharing something every day, we’ll be posting a reflection once a week, as the Spirit leads, alongside posts that help you get to know us a little better.

We know it can take time to feel connected to a church you’ve discovered through social media, and sometimes you need to get to know us a little before taking that step through the doors. We want to make that easier for you. 🤍

We’re passionate about creating a place where people can find home, encounter Jesus and discover the redeeming power of God alongside us.

We’re excited for this next season and all that’s ahead! 🤍

Heart House Elim is a fresh expression of church in the heart of Thanet, where every heart finds home with Jesus.

We’d love to welcome you home too! 🏡🤍

✨ CRAFT-A-NOON 🎨🧶✂️

What a lovely afternoon we had last Sunday! 🤍

There was something really special about simply slowing down, getting creative, chatting and enjoying being together. The overall consensus? It was surprisingly therapeutic! 🥰

And it was awesome to see just how creative people are, from tried-and-tested crafts to having a go at something completely new. 🎨🧵

Sometimes we all need a little space to pause, make something, talk, laugh and simply be. And that’s exactly what Sunday felt like. 🙌🏼

Thank you to everyone who came and especially to Elaine for providing the resources and Emma for leading us so brilliantly!

Crafting, conversation, creativity and connection - we loved it! 🌿✨
