🌸 Bumps & Babies Update 🌸

Good morning everyone! đź’›

Just a little update to let you know that, for the foreseeable future, we’ve decided not to run Bumps & Babies on Monday afternoons.
There are a few reasons behind the decision:

👶 Beehive on a Thursday morning now has a dedicated babies area, so after chatting with Pauline Sanderson and Rose Taylor, we felt we were beginning to duplicate what is already happening there.
👥 Numbers have been quite sporadic for some time. Some weeks we’ve had 3 or 4 people, while on other weeks we’ve set everything up and no one has come along.
🤝 Pauline and Rose aren’t able to commit to running the group every week, which makes it difficult to give the group the consistency it needs.
💛 Our new SWYM trainee Miriam will also have a different pattern of hours this year, as she’ll be spending some of her time on the worship stream, so we won’t have the same level of support we had last year.
🌱 Most importantly, we feel that Beehive is now the best place for parents and babies to connect. Being part of a larger group gives more opportunities to meet other parents, build friendships and take that first important step into the wider church community.

That said, this definitely isn’t goodbye forever! Bumps & Babies is a group that could easily be picked up and run again in the future if the opportunity arises.

It has been such a wonderful group over the years, originally started by Janice Stace and Pauline Sanderson, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the love, time and energy that has gone into making it what it has been. 💕

For now, we feel it’s reached a natural end to this particular chapter — and we’re excited to see what comes next

🎬🎥Filming for our new Five Key Tools Course

This summer Parenting for Faith are filming content for our brand-new Five Key Tools Course. Would you or someone that you know like to get involved? (Feel free to pass this invitation on).

We're looking for families who would be willing to try out one of the Parenting for Faith Key Tools during July and then tell us how it went. We'll send you a short video to watch and some ideas of things to try during July then film a short video call with you in August, sharing your experience, which could be included in the new course.

You don't need to have it all together or be the "perfect" family. We want to hear from real families living real life. We're looking for a wide range of experiences, family shapes and stories, because every family's journey is different.

Interested? We'd love to hear from you! Fill out this quick form (https://forms.office.com/e/bksHWjVjvM) to let us know if you're interested!

Love this recent post from Parenting for Faith - you don’t have to show your children perfection, but you’re perfectly positioned to show them authentic faith in the messy, mundane, everyday moments of life

Bring them to church.

Even if they’re coloring on the bulletin.
Even if they’re whispering too loud.
Even if they’re laid out across your lap, fully asleep before the sermon hits the second point.

Bring them anyway.

Faith isn’t built in perfect silence.
It’s built in repetition. In rhythm. In showing up.

Let them see hands raised.
Let them hear worship.
Let them be surrounded by people who love Jesus and aren’t ashamed of it.

They don’t have to “get it” today.
Seeds don’t sprout the same day they’re planted.

One day they’ll remember the songs.
The prayers.
The feeling.

So bring them.
Messy, wiggly, tired… and all.
