Thirteenth Sunday after Trinity – Sunday 30 August
This Sunday we reflected on God's call to faithful discipleship through readings from Exodus 3:1–15, where Moses encounters God in the burning bush; Romans 12:9–end, with its exhortation to genuine love, hospitality and overcoming evil with good; and Matthew 16:21–end, in which Jesus calls his followers to take up their cross and follow him. Together, the readings invited us to listen for God's call, to live lives of sincere love and service, and to place God's purposes before our own.
Our hymns were:
Introit: Be Still, for the Presence of the Lord
Gradual: Brother, Sister, Let Me Serve You
Offertory: The Church's One Foundation
Recessional: Be Thou My Vision, O Lord of My Heart
Thank you to everyone who joined us for worship. Please continue to remember those in our prayers, and do take a look at this week's notices for information about our new Bible study meetings, the forthcoming Pilgrim Places, Holy Lives journey, and the fundraising efforts supporting A Rocha UK and The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields.
