The Parish of St John’s mourns the death of Fr David Charles. It is with deep sadness that we share the news of his death.
The announcement was made during our Sunday services today, where we joined together in prayer and thanksgiving for his life and faithful ministry.
Fr David served Christ and His Church with compassion, humility and unwavering dedication. He was a much-loved priest whose pastoral care, gentle encouragement and kindness touched the lives of so many. Through his vision and commitment, he helped lead the parish forward, strengthening both our church family and its relationship with the wider community.
Many within our congregation and beyond will remember him with great affection and gratitude. His faithful witness, and warm friendship will be greatly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
As a parish, we extend our heartfelt love and deepest condolences at this time of profound loss. We pray that all may know the comfort of God’s loving presence, the strength of His peace, and the assurance that Fr David is now held in His eternal love.
We ask you to keep Fr David, his parents and all who mourn in your prayers.
“Jesus said, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Those who believe in me, even though they die, will live.’” (John 11:25)
May Fr David rest in peace and rise in glory.
