I have been asking around and trying to come up with something the Social Care Project can organise in the afternoon, of the second Thursday of every month. One of the items that quite a few people have bought up, is a Games Afternoon.

In the Craft Room, there would be board games to play and playing cards♦️♠️♥️♣️ In the main hall and church there would be darts 🎯 , ten pin bowling 🎳 , curling, crazy golf ⛳️ , tin can alley, snooker 🎱 and more!! There would be refreshments available and everything is accessible!!

In order to see if this would be a viable option, I am asking for the thoughts of current participants and the local community because it is a huge activity to set up if no one is going to attend.

The Social Care Project put on weekly activities to support those over 50, helping them stay active and connected to others. We have people attend who are lonely, isolated or bereaved. People struggling with their mental health, are disabled or just want some company. Please let me know your thoughts and if it is something you would like to be part of. Thank you 🙏

St Margaret’s Church was broken in to on Wednesday morning around 5am. The churches brass cross and candle holders on the altar were taken and the family groups PS5. The person also ransacked the vestry and destroyed 4 doors. Roselea Day Centre, who work with vulnerable adults at the back of the church was also targeted taking their tablets, PS, karaoke machine, Alexa and more. If anyone has any information, please can you message me.
Thank you 🙏
