The Book Cave

The Book Cave The Book Cave is the first children's Islamic library in Birmingham! It's based at Clifton Road Mosque and the Al-Mahdi Institute.

Based at Clifton Road Mosque and the Al-Mahdi Institute, The Book Cave aims to cater for 0-18 year olds by bringing together the best of Islamic and moral fiction and non-fiction books, educational toys and games, and the latest audio books and DVDs. Our aim is to invite children to be part of this rich and dynamic resource with the hope of building their love of reading and knowledge in the path of the Almighty!

Our next event is on Sunday 14th August at 10am inshallah in the Lower Sports Hall. We are honoured to host Zakira Shyrose who will be doing a puppet show for the children. We'll also have some crafts too. All are welcome, no need to register. We look forward to seeing you there and please remember us in your prayers!

We regret to inform you that Asmaa Hussein is no longer travelling to the UK for her book tour this month - this is due to unforeseen family circumstances. I know so many of you were looking forward to seeing her, rest assured if she does come to the UK we will invite her to The Book Cave inshallah! The Book Cave are delighted to welcome Sister Asmaa Hussein of Ruqayah's Bookshelf all the way from Canada 🇨🇦 to join us for a Pizza 🍕 and Books event after school on Friday 24th June at 5pm in the Upper Mezzanine Hall in the SZ Building. Join us for pizza, stories and crafts for the kids and a discussion on God, love and making the most of our gifts for the adults! To cover the cost of food and crafts we're charging £5/child.
