Memorial Services

Every two months at St Paul's we hold 6 pm Sunday evening memorial services specially for those who have had recent bareavaement to come and give thanks for the life of their loved one.

In the service, families can light a candle as special prayers are said and loved ones' names are read out.
People who come say that they find the service comforting and upliftng.

In St Paul's and St Luke's there are memorial books in which we can write the name of your loved one, the book will be open at the anniversary of their passing.

Once a year, at All Souls, tide at the beginning of November, we hold a special service in which we read out the names of all those we love but no longer see. We remember them and that they are safe in God's keeping, and we give thanks for good times past and look forward to being reunited with them in God's future.

Our next memorial service will be on Sunday 23rd of February 2014. Everyone is welcome.

The Vicar is always able to arrange visits to those having difficulty facing bereavement and who need to talk with someone. Please ring 0121 556 0687 for further details.

Wedding Services

Why get married in church?

A marriage service, wherever it is held, is a public declaration of love and commitment to your partner.
If you choose to get married in church, there is an added dimension - the assurance that God cares about your relationship and that his resources and strength are available to help you. Including God in your marriage doesn't mean that you will avoid all the usual ups and downs, but you will know that you can look to God for help and guidance and that his love will sustain you. You will also have the support and encouragement of the Christian Church family.

Whether you're just contemplating marriage, or already planning your wedding day, your church wants to help and support you.
On October 1st 2008 a new law came into effect, meaning there are now more churches to choose from for your special day and for generations to come.

There are some things about marrying in church that you just can't get anywhere else.
It's your wedding.
Let us help you make it personal, meaningful, spiritual, beautiful.
