With more families choosing to home school. Let’s Build Workshop will be opening a session for home education families on Tuesday 14th September 11 am. Meeting at The Oak we have boxes of Lego and other construction kits. An opportunity for home schooling families to meet together and make friends.

We are all missing Let’s Build Workshop at The Oak. It’s a bit difficult to work out how we do this in the new Covid world we now live in. However the construction sets are being cleaned! Hopefully we may find a safe way soon.

There will be “Diamonds Construction Club” running on a Tuesday morning in September for home education families. A small start.

A growing number of families are choosing to educate their children at home. It is legal and parents do not have to be qualified teachers to teach their own children. Families are doing this for a wide variety of reasons and for different lengths of time. For some families, the decision to home educate is made before the child is born, or the effect of Covid, whereas others start school and begin home education later. St Michael’s and The Oak Centre will be setting up some groups around helping families home educate and getting young people together.
