“I Surrender All to You”

Father God, I come before You
Broken, weary, needing truth
I have wandered far from home
But now I’m turning back to You

I confess the life I’ve lived
All the pride I could not hide
Every sin, every selfish road
Lord, I lay it down tonight

I was searching in the dark
Trying to survive alone
But Your mercy called my name
And Your love has brought me home

I repent, I turn around
From the ashes to holy ground

Jesus, I surrender all to You
Heart and soul, make me brand new
You are Savior, You are King
My everything, my everything

Wash me in Your precious blood
Fill me with Your Holy love
I belong to You alone
Jesus Christ, now lead me home

You were nailed upon the cross
Took the punishment for me
Then You rose in victory
Now Your grace has set me free

I believe with all I am
Death could never hold You down
Now eternal life is mine
Through the power of Your name

Holy Spirit, light my way
Teach my heart to now obey

Jesus, I surrender all to You
Heart and soul, make me brand new
You are Savior, You are King
My everything, my everything

Wash me in Your precious blood
Fill me with Your Holy love
I belong to You alone
Jesus Christ, now lead me home

Take my hands, take my life
Be the fire deep inside
Break the chains, heal my soul
Lord, completely take control

I am Yours forevermore
Standing safe within Your grace
Born again, redeemed and free
By the power of Your name

Jesus, I surrender all to You
Every dream and all I do
You are worthy, You are Lord
Forevermore, forevermore

Thank You for the cross of Christ
Thank You for new life tonight
I belong to You alone
Jesus Christ has brought me home

In the name of Jesus Christ
Amen
Amen

Empowered to Witness

Bible Reading

Acts 1:8 (NIV)

“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.”

Before Jesus ascended into heaven, He did not leave His followers empty-handed. He promised them power, not political power, not worldly influence, but the power of the Holy Spirit. Ordinary men and women would become bold witnesses for Christ.

That same promise still speaks today.

Many believers feel weak, overlooked, or uncertain about what difference they can make in a world that seems increasingly hostile to faith. Yet Jesus never said we must rely on our own strength. The Christian life was never meant to be lived by human effort alone. God gives His Spirit to strengthen, guide, comfort, and empower His people.

The disciples were fearful before Pentecost. After the Holy Spirit came upon them, they preached boldly, loved deeply, endured hardship, and carried the Gospel across nations. The power of God changed them from frightened followers into courageous witnesses.

Notice also the pattern Jesus gives: Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, and the ends of the earth.

Witness begins close to home. It starts in our “Jerusalem”, our family, workplace, neighbourhood, and community. Then it reaches beyond comfort zones into “Samaria”, places and people we may naturally avoid or struggle to understand. Finally, the Gospel stretches outward to the world.

You do not need a stage or a microphone to be a witness for Christ. A kind word, a faithful life, a prayer for someone hurting, standing for truth with grace, refusing bitterness, showing compassion, these all testify that Jesus is alive.

The Holy Spirit still empowers believers today. He still gives courage to the weary, wisdom to the uncertain, and strength to those who feel they have little left to give.

God does not call perfect people. He empowers willing people.

Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for the promise of the Holy Spirit. Fill me afresh with Your power and help me to live boldly for You. Let my life point others toward Christ in my words, actions, and attitude. Give me courage where I feel afraid, wisdom where I feel uncertain, and love for the people around me. Help me to be faithful in my own Jerusalem and willing to go wherever You lead.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

“Power to Witness”

Holy Spirit, fall on us
Fill our hearts with holy fire
Jesus, You have called Your people
To lift Your name higher and higher

When fear surrounds and shadows fall
When we feel weak and standing small
You breathe Your strength into our soul
Your living power makes us whole

You called the fishermen and poor
Opened wide salvation’s door
Now through every tribe and tongue
Your mighty work is still being done

Not by might
Not by power
But by Your Spirit, Lord

Power to witness
Strength from above
Sent with mercy
Carried by love
From our homes to all the nations
We will shine Your holy light
Filled with the fire of heaven
Jesus, be glorified

In our streets and in our homes
To the broken and alone
Help us speak with truth and grace
Let the world behold Your face

Where there’s hatred, let love rise
Where there’s darkness, open eyes
May Your church stand bold and true
Always pointing back to You

Not by might
Not by power
But by Your Spirit, Lord

Power to witness
Strength from above
Sent with mercy
Carried by love
From our homes to all the nations
We will shine Your holy light
Filled with the fire of heaven
Jesus, be glorified

Jerusalem, Judea
Samaria, the world
Every nation, every heartbeat
Let Your banner be unfurled

Holy Spirit move among us
Set our hearts completely free
Till the ends of all the earth cry
Jesus Christ is King indeed

Power to witness
Strength from above
Sent with mercy
Carried by love
Till the whole earth sings Your praises
Till every soul knows Your name
Filled with the fire of heaven
Forever You will reign

Holy Spirit, fall on us
Lead us now in truth and grace
We will go where You have called us
For the glory of Your name

Father God,
We pray for our nation today. In a world full of division, anger, and fear, help us to be people who shine with Your light. Teach us to be the salt of the earth, bringing kindness where there is bitterness, truth where there is confusion, and hope where hearts have grown weary.

Lord, raise up leaders who truly care for the people. Give us men and women with wisdom, integrity, compassion, and courage, leaders who desire justice, peace, and the good of the nation above their own gain. Guide those already in authority and soften hearts that have become hardened.

We pray for Your Church across this land. Unite Christians in love and fellowship. Break down pride, division, and coldness between us. Help us stand together in humility, prayer, and faith, remembering that we belong to one body in Christ.

Send revival to our nation, Lord, not just loud words or empty religion, but a real turning back to You. Let homes be restored, the lonely comforted, the broken healed, and the lost find hope again in Jesus. Stir hearts to seek You while You may be found.

Help each one of us to live faithfully every day, loving our neighbour, serving our communities, and reflecting Christ in the way we speak and live.

May Your peace rest upon our nation, and may Your truth and mercy lead us forward.

In Jesus’ name,
Amen.

“Heal Our Nation”

Lord, we stand before You now
With humble hearts and heads bowed down
This land is searching in the night
Come and shine Your holy light

Where there’s hatred, let love grow
Where there’s darkness, mercy flow
Make us salt upon this earth
Show this nation what You’re worth

Open blind eyes
Let hearts awaken
Bring us together in Your name

Heal our nation, Lord we pray
Turn our hearts back to Your way
Let revival flood this land
With mercy flowing from Your hand
Raise up voices full of truth
Give us faith and give us hope
Jesus, let Your kingdom reign
Heal our nation once again

Raise up leaders who will serve
Who love the people, not the world
Give them wisdom, give them grace
Let compassion fill this place

And unite Your Church in love
One heart crying out above
Let forgiveness lead the way
Teach us how to walk in grace

Open blind eyes
Let hearts awaken
Bring us together in Your name

Heal our nation, Lord we pray
Turn our hearts back to Your way
Let revival flood this land
With mercy flowing from Your hand
Raise up voices full of truth
Give us faith and give us hope
Jesus, let Your kingdom reign
Heal our nation once again

We will pray
We will stand
With Your Word held in our hands
You are hope
You are peace
You are all this nation needs

Heal our nation, Lord we pray
Let Your light break through today
May the broken hearts be healed
May Your glory be revealed
Let the Church rise up in love
Shining like the stars above
Jesus, let Your kingdom reign
Heal our nation once again

Heal our nation
Heal our nation
Lord Jesus reign

The Wilderness Road

Along the road where silence lay
Where dust and desert met the day
A servant heard the heavens call
And rose in faith, surrendering all

No crowd applauded where he trod
Just barren earth beneath his God
Yet every step through heat and stone
Was guided by the Lord alone

On the wilderness road
Where the dry winds blow
God is leading hearts
More than we can know
Every waiting soul
Every tear unseen
Meets the hand of grace
In the space between

A traveller rode beneath the sun
Reading words not yet undone
Ancient promises like fire
Awakening a deep desire

And Philip came beside the wheel
To speak of wounds that came to heal
The Spirit moved, the moment came
And desert dust would never stay the same

On the wilderness road
Where the dry winds blow
God is leading hearts
More than we can know
Every searching soul
Every weary cry
Finds the light of heaven
Passing gently by

Lord, when You whisper
Let me hear
When You are calling
Draw me near
Though I may walk
Through unknown lands
Still I am safe
Within Your hands

On the wilderness road
Through the lonely land
God is writing mercy
With a careful hand
Every broken path
Every hidden place
Can become a meeting ground
For His endless grace

Listening When God Redirects

Bible Reference

Acts 8:26-29 (NRSVA)

Then an angel of the Lord said to Philip, “Get up and go towards the south to the road that goes down from Jerusalem to Gaza.” (This is a wilderness road.) So he got up and went. Now there was an Ethiopian eu**ch, a court official of the Candace, queen of the Ethiopians, in charge of her entire treasury. He had come to Jerusalem to worship and was returning home; seated in his chariot, he was reading the prophet Isaiah. Then the Spirit said to Philip, “Go over to this chariot and join it.”

Sometimes God’s guidance does not come with a full explanation. In this passage, Philip is simply told to get up and go to a wilderness road. No details. No map of what will happen next. Just a direction.

Philip could have questioned it. The road was quiet, remote, and seemingly unimportant. Yet he obeyed.

Along that road was a man searching for truth, an Ethiopian official reading the words of Isaiah but struggling to understand them. God saw someone hungry for meaning, and He sent Philip to meet him at exactly the right moment.

What stands out is Philip’s willingness to move when God spoke. First the angel tells him to go. Then the Spirit tells him to approach the chariot. Step by step, Philip listens and follows.

Often we want the whole plan before we take the first step. But God frequently leads one instruction at a time. A conversation. A phone call. A visit. An unexpected change in direction. What seems like an interruption may actually be a divine appointment.

The Ethiopian eu**ch was a powerful man, yet he still needed someone to help point him towards Christ. This reminds us that people all around us may appear confident and successful while quietly searching for hope, truth, and peace.

God still places people in our path for a reason.

Today, ask yourself: Am I willing to be interrupted by God? Am I listening for His prompting? Could someone near me be waiting for encouragement, kindness, or truth?

The wilderness road became a holy place because Philip was willing to walk it.

Prayer
Lord, help me to listen when You speak and to obey even when I do not see the full picture. Give me courage to follow Your direction and compassion to notice those You place in my path. Use my life to point others towards Your truth and love. Amen.

Trust Over Fear

Bible Verse

“Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”
Proverbs 29:25 NIV

Fear of people can quietly control our lives. We worry about what others think, fear rejection, avoid speaking truth, or stay silent to keep peace. The opinions of people can become a trap that steals confidence, joy, and even obedience to God.

The book of Proverbs calls this fear a “snare.” A snare is something hidden that traps without warning. When we live for approval from others, we can slowly become trapped by anxiety, insecurity, and constant pressure to please everyone around us.

But the second half of the verse brings freedom.

“Whoever trusts in the Lord is kept safe.”

Real security does not come from human approval. It comes from knowing God holds your life in His hands. People change their opinions. Crowds can praise one day and criticize the next. But the Lord remains faithful, steady, and true.

Jesus Himself faced rejection, mockery, and criticism. Yet He walked in perfect obedience to the Father, never controlled by public opinion. As believers, we are called to follow Him with courage and faith.

Trusting God does not mean life will always be easy. It means you can stand firm even when others misunderstand you. It means your identity is rooted in God’s love, not in human applause.

Today, ask yourself: Am I living to please people, or to honour God?

When fear rises, remember this promise: those who trust in the Lord are kept safe in His care, His wisdom, and His peace.

Prayer

Lord, help me not to be trapped by fear of what others think. Teach me to trust You more deeply and to walk in courage and truth. Remind me that my worth comes from You alone. Give me strength to follow You faithfully, even when it is difficult. Fill my heart with peace and confidence in Your protection and love. Amen.

“Message of Your Grace”

Oh Lord, keep us near
Hold us in Your truth
Guide us by Your grace

Paul stood with tears in his eyes
Speaking truth before goodbye
“Keep watch over all the flock”
Stand firm upon the Rock
Though wolves may rise and lies may fall
Your grace will carry through it all

Your message of grace
Will build us up again
Your message of grace
Will hold us to the end
When fear surrounds
And shadows chase
We stand upon
Your message of grace

Hands that served both night and day
Showed the humble, narrow way
More blessed now to give than take
To love the weak for Jesus’ sake
Though storms may shake the earth below
Your faithful word will never go

Your message of grace
Will build us up again
Your message of grace
Will hold us to the end
When fear surrounds
And shadows chase
We stand upon
Your message of grace

Guard Your church, O holy King
Let our hearts forever sing
Sanctify us in Your truth
Lord, we belong to You

Your message of grace
Is all we need today
Your message of grace
Will never fade away
Through every trial
In every place
We live and rest
In Your amazing grace

Sanctified in Truth

Acts 20:28-38, Psalm 68:28-35, John 17:11-19

There is a tenderness running through these readings, a deep love mixed with sorrow, warning, and hope. In Acts of the Apostles 20:28-38, we see Paul the Apostle speaking to believers he may never see again. His words are not cold instructions, they are the tears of a spiritual father. He warns them that “savage wolves” will come, even from among their own people. Yet he does not leave them in fear. He commends them to God and to “the message of his grace.”

Then in Gospel of John 17:11-19, we hear the heart of Jesus Himself praying for His followers. He knows the world will oppose them. He knows temptation, lies, division, and evil are real. Yet His prayer is not that believers escape the world, but that they are protected within it. “Sanctify them in the truth. Your word is truth.”

Between these passages stands the praise of Psalms 68:28-35, reminding us that God is not weak or distant. “Ascribe power to God, whose majesty is over Israel.” The same God who strengthened His people in ancient days still reigns with power today.

That matters deeply for us now.

We live in a noisy world filled with competing voices. Some promise happiness without God. Some distort truth to fit culture. Some try to reshape Jesus into whatever people want Him to be. Yet Christ still prays for His people. He still guards His flock. He still calls His Church to remain anchored in truth, grace, and holiness.

Paul’s example also challenges us personally. He worked humbly, served faithfully, gave generously, and cared for the weak. He reminds us that Christian faith is not about gaining status or comfort, but about pouring ourselves out in love. “It is more blessed to give than to receive.” Those words cut against the selfishness of the world and point us back to the heart of Christ.

There is comfort here too. Jesus says His followers are not of the world, just as He is not of the world. If you sometimes feel out of place because of your faith, remember that you belong to another kingdom. The world may misunderstand holiness, mock conviction, or reject truth, but God has not abandoned His people. Christ intercedes for them still.

Today, ask God for discernment, courage, and faithfulness. Ask Him to protect your heart from deception and bitterness. Ask Him to sanctify you in His truth, not merely so you know the truth, but so you live it with love, humility, and perseverance.

Prayer
Holy Father,
keep us faithful to Your truth in a world filled with confusion. Guard our hearts from deception and protect us from the evil one. Help us to live with the humility of Paul and the holiness of Christ. Teach us to give generously, serve faithfully, and love courageously. Sanctify us by Your Word, and let our lives reflect the joy and grace of Jesus. Amen.

Hope Spoken Gently.

A lantern glows on the edge of stone,
While evening whispers, “You’re not alone.”
An open Bible in fading light,
Still speaks of mercy through the night.

The mountains darken, shadows fall,
Yet Christ remains above it all.
Not through anger, fear, or pride,
But quiet strength that will not hide.

The world may shout with hardened voice,
Demanding sides, demanding choice.
But heaven’s wisdom softly stands,
With grace-filled heart and open hands.

To speak of hope with calm restraint,
Not as a judge, nor bitter saint.
But as a soul once lost in sin,
Now changed because of Christ within.

A clear conscience, a gentle word,
Can preach far louder than a sword.
For kindness shines where rage grows dim,
And living well brings glory to Him.

So let your life become the flame,
That quietly lifts Jesus’ name.
And when the mocking voices rise,
Keep truth and love before your eyes.

The lantern burns, the night grows deep,
Yet still the faithful watch and keep.
For hope is not a passing thing,
It lives within the risen King.

Hope Spoken Gently

Bible Reading

1 Peter 3:15-16 (NIV)
“But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect…”

Devotional
The world often rewards the loudest voice, the sharpest comeback, and the quickest argument. But this passage reminds believers that the Christian life is not meant to be lived through aggression or pride. We are called to carry hope, and to speak about that hope with gentleness and respect.

Peter was writing to Christians facing pressure, misunderstanding, and hostility. Yet he did not tell them to become bitter or combative. Instead, he told them to keep Christ at the centre of their hearts. When Jesus truly rules within us, our words begin to reflect His character.

People may ask why a Christian still has hope during hardship, peace during uncertainty, or kindness in a harsh world. The answer is not found in perfect circumstances. The answer is Christ.

There is something powerful about a calm and gracious response. A gentle spirit stands out in a world full of outrage. Even when others mock, accuse, or misunderstand, believers are called to keep a clear conscience and continue walking faithfully.

This does not mean being weak or silent about truth. It means speaking truth in a way that honours God. Jesus Himself was full of both truth and grace.

Today, remember that your life may be the only glimpse of Christ someone sees. Your patience, kindness, honesty, and hope can point others toward Him more powerfully than arguments ever could.

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help me to honour You in my heart above everything else. Fill me with courage to speak about the hope I have in You, but also give me gentleness, wisdom, and respect in the way I speak to others. Help my words and actions reflect Your love, even when I face criticism or misunderstanding. Keep my conscience clear and my heart faithful. Amen.

18/05/2026

The sheer volume of manuscripts surrounding Jesus Christ is unlike anything else in the ancient world. Historians have thousands upon thousands of New Testament manuscripts, fragments, translations, and quotations from early church leaders, far more than the writings of figures like Julius Caesar, Tacitus, or Plato. Yet even with all that evidence, the real stumbling block has never only been intellectual. It is spiritual.

The truth is, accepting that Caesar existed changes nothing about your life. Acknowledging Alexander the Great demands no repentance. Believing Socrates lived requires no surrender. But Jesus Christ is different. If He truly rose from the dead, then He is not merely another historical figure trapped in the past. He is Lord now.

Scripture says:

“And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” John 8:32

Many people say they are simply “skeptical,” but sometimes skepticism becomes a shield. Not because the evidence is weak, but because the implications are overwhelming. Christ does not merely ask to be studied. He asks to be followed.

That is why the cross still offends the modern world. Jesus did not leave behind a philosophy to admire from a safe distance. He called people to die to themselves, to repent, to forgive, to love their enemies, and to surrender every part of life to Him. The same authority He carried in Galilee remains unchanged today.

The remarkable thing is this: despite centuries of persecution, criticism, mockery, and attempts to erase Him from history, the message of Christ still stands. Manuscripts survived empires. The Gospel crossed continents. And millions throughout history testify that Jesus did not remain words on a page, but became real in their lives.

Faith is not blind. Christianity is rooted in history, eyewitness testimony, fulfilled prophecy, and the resurrection claim that changed the world forever. But eventually every person reaches a point where the question is no longer, “Was Jesus real?” but rather, “What will I do with Him?”

Because history can remain comfortably distant. Christ cannot.

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” John 14:6

Prayer
Lord Jesus, help us not to hide behind pride, fear, or endless doubt. Give us hearts willing to seek truth honestly, even when it challenges us. Thank You that You are not merely part of history, but alive today. Teach us to surrender fully to You and walk in faith, courage, and truth. Amen.
