Holy Week and Easter are fast approaching, here is everything the Elstow Team has to offer over the Easter Period

The following message was announced across the Elstow Team Ministry this morning.

This morning the Bishop of Bedford and acting Bishop of St Albans announced that following an interview last November the Reverend Mike Stewart has been appointed Rector of Ampthill, Millbrook and Steppingley.

Mikes farewell service to the Elstow Team will be on Palm Sunday (29th March) in Elstow Abbey at 10:00am, which will be followed by a bring and share lunch and the Annual Parochial Church Meeting at 2.00pm.

His final service amongst us will be on Easter Day at St Mary the Virgin, Cardington at 11.00am. Further details regarding Mike’s licensing service will be shared in due course. Please do keep Mike and his family in your prayers as he prepares to take up this new role.

The Church is now adorned with our poppy display for the Remembrance Service on Sunday Morning.

All are welcome to join us at 10am for a short service of remembrance followed by a parade to the war memorial for the 11am Act of Remembrance

Next Sunday is Remembrance Sunday. The service will begin at 10am, we look forward to welcoming as many of you as possible for our Remembrance Service and Act of Remembrance at the War Memorial at 11am.

Due to flooding and water getting into the electrics. The service on Sunday morning 20th October has been cancelled, the church is also closed.

Friday Night - Cancelled

Due to circumstances outside of our control. This Friday's Event has sadly been cancelled.

We have however managed to assist our fantastic act Roxze with finding an alternative venue. So if you would like to see them play they will be at The Bell Pub Cotton End 7-9 on Friday night.

I'd like to thank everyone who helped make this year's events such a success. We look forward to entertaining you more in the future.

We are looking forward to Michael Green playing at the next Shortstown & Cardington Social Friday's on the 16th August 7pm. Full details below.

Friday 16th August 7-10pm we welcome the wonderful Michael Green. Michael is a Singer Songwriter from Bedford. He has a beautiful voice and a large array of songs both originals and well know classics which you can sing and dance along to, to your hearts content.

The bar will be open from 7pm most alcoholic drinks £3, non alcoholic £1.

Higher or Lower returns again this month, now with a Jackpot of £122 + 50% of the entry money on the night. So make sure you bring some change so you are able to join in with that £1 per entry.

We are planning to do pizza slices as well as fries for our hot food offerings for this month.

We take card payments for food and drink. (Cash Preferred for Higher or Lower.)
