Public Statement:

Big Church Festival 2026 has been paused following a serious incident on site, and no further programme will take place today.

First and foremost, our thoughts and prayers are with those who have been directly impacted by the incident.

We understand this will be deeply disappointing for the thousands who have joined us at the festival.

We are working closely with the emergency services and relevant authorities. Further announcements will be made as more information becomes available.

We are grateful for the understanding, patience, and prayers of our community at this time.

Summer Sunday Extra....
Thank you to Lee for leading us in the Agape meal. A beautiful evening of considered worship, blessings, food, fellowship and prayer. This type of gathering is a representation of the early Christians gathering together. (No photo unfortunately)

🕯️ Holding Teesside in Prayer

We are deeply saddened by the devastating incident on the A66 in the early hours of this morning, in which seven lives have been lost.

Our thoughts and prayers are with all those who have died, and with their families, friends and colleagues as they face unimaginable grief.

We pray too for the police officers and emergency services who attended the scene, and particularly for those who are grieving the loss of colleagues while continuing to serve and support others.

At times such as this, words can feel inadequate. We simply hold before God everyone affected by this tragedy and the wider Teesside community.

🙏 A Prayer

God of compassion,
draw near to all whose hearts are heavy today.

Comfort those who mourn,
strengthen those responding to this tragedy,
and surround all those affected
with your love and peace.

In the midst of shock, sadness and confusion,
help us to care for one another
and to hold onto the light of hope.

Lord, in your mercy, hear our prayer. Amen.
