Join Us for a Special Evensong at St Paul's Cathedral.
We’re delighted to share some wonderful news — on Saturday, 29th August at 5pm, the SJB Choir will be singing Evensong at St Paul’s Cathedral! This is a truly special occasion and a fantastic achievement for our choir.
If you would like to be part of this memorable moment and travel together with fellow members of the congregation, please contact the parish office by email.
What is Evensong? At St Paul’s, Evensong is considered a treasure of worship — a beautiful, sung Evening Prayer service from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer. Lasting around 45 minutes, it offers a peaceful and reflective pause at the close of the day. Worshippers are uplifted by the extraordinary voices of the Cathedral choir, performing carefully chosen choral music as part of each service.

We warmly encourage you to come along, support our choir, and experience this inspiring service in such an iconic setting.
We hope you can join us for this special occasion!

We’re delighted to host the High Barnet Chamber Music Festival for the sixth time!
Join us this Saturday 13th June at 7.30pm for an inspiring evening as specialist ensemble Mad Song presents a compelling programme exploring the elemental forces of Fire and Water, featuring music from the past 120 years:

Scriabin: Vers la flamme
Anna Clyne: 1987
Oliver Knussen: Reflection
Richard Causton: Phoenix
Ravel: Une barque sur l'océan
Toru Takemitsu: Rain Tree Sketch II
Tristan Murail: La Barque mystique

Mad Song are a dynamic ensemble of "expert young players" (The Observer) who specialise in performances of 20th and 21st century music. Founded in 2019 they have become renowned for their committed performances, particularly of Sir Peter Maxwell Davies’ Eight Songs for a Mad King, which they have performed around the UK. Their performance at the Aberystwyth Festival was lauded for its 'brutality and raw energy' (David Campbell) and their playing has been described as ‘beyond praise’ (Seen & Heard International).

Join us on 7 June as we celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi (the Body of Christ)—a special day in the Church’s calendar when we give thanks for the gift of the Eucharist.

This year, we mark the occasion at SJB with a Teaching Eucharist at 9.30am, offering a unique opportunity to deepen our understanding of this central act of Christian worship. During the service, Fr Sam will guide us through the different parts of the liturgy, explaining both their meaning and the theology that underpins them.

Whether you are new to the Eucharist or have attended services for many years, this will be a valuable and enriching experience, helping you to engage more fully in our weekly worship.

All are warmly invited to attend and take part in this celebration and time of learning.

Trinity Sunday at SJB on Sunday 31 May 2026 at 9.30am.

You are warmly invited to join us at SJB as we celebrate Trinity Sunday, a special feast in the Church’s year when we reflect on the mystery and beauty of God as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
This day invites us to deepen our understanding of God’s presence in our lives and to rejoice in the love that binds the Holy Trinity together — a love we are called to share with the world.
Our celebration will include uplifting worship, meaningful readings, and music that inspires reflection and joy. Whether you are a regular worshipper or visiting for the first time, you will find a warm and welcoming community here.
Come and join us as we celebrate the mystery of God’s life and love.
All are most welcome.
