This morning we celebrated 80 years of women’s ministry in Magherahamlet. Louise Davidson, the deaconess in Friendship House, Sandy Row, South Belfast was our guest speaker and we heard about the great work that goes on there. One of the readings was from Psalm 46 and we were reminded to ‘Be still and know that I am God’ in high times, low times and mundane times. Following the children’s talk, we won’t look at a packet of Jaffa cakes in the same way again (Jesus A Friend For All)!
After the service we met in the church hall for lunch, with soup provided by George Hanna of ‘The Mulberry Tree’, followed by apple tart and a slice of our amazing anniversary cake.

Speaker Louise Davidson, Deaconess serving at South Belfast Friendship House - Loose collection will go towards this.
Ladies who made the paper flower bouquets please bring them along to decorate the windows.
