Ashington Churches' Together (ACT) Lent Courses

ACT will be hosting Lent courses throughout Lent. The first session will be held in St Andrew’s Church Hall starting at 7pm on Wednesday 25th February. All welcome.

Ash Wednesday! Pioneering Priest Allison Harding will be offering 'Ashing' from 0930am on Ashington High Street. Feel free to stop and say hello and be ashed if would like to.

If you would like to attend a service, St Andrew's has a said mass at 0930am and St John's will be holding a sung mass at 6pm.

Beyond Youth will be running Prayer Spaces in Thomas Bewick school. St Andrew’s and St John's congratulations will be volunteering at the events. The Parish of Seaton Hirst wish all involved enjoyable and successful sessions.

Ashington Male Voice Choir is celebrating their 110th anniversary with a performance at St John's Church. The event will take place on Saturday 21 March 2026 starting at 3pm. Tickets are £10.00 and are available from church. All welcome.

The Parish of Seaton Hirst is hoping to take part in a Deanery Confirmation Service some time this year. If you would like to explore Confirmation or someone you know is interested please get in touch with Fr Sam.

Before Confirmation there are a few weeks of preparation which Fr Sam can talk to you about.
