✝️ Today is Ash Wednesday, the start of the season of Lent, when Christians traditionally mirror the time that Jesus spent in the wilderness by repentance, prayer, fasting, and self-denial, and by reading and meditating on God’s holy word.
⏰ Join us at 7pm for a sung service of Holy Communion with the imposition of ashes as we begin our Lenten journey together.

Did you know that it's still Christmas? Our churches still have their christmas trees up - and for good reason!
The Anglican Church celebrates Christmas for over a month (because we like it so much!), right up until Candlemas (or, The Presentation of Christ in the Temple, if we're being formal).

As the light returns and spring starts to beckon, join us at St Peter and St Paul, Longhoughton to say goodbye to the last of the darkness with a beautiful Deanery Evensong sung by the Rock Festival Choir.

There may even be festive refreshments for afters!
