Holy Quran 3:19
------------------

Lo! religion with Allah (is) the Surrender (to His Will and Guidance). Those who (formerly) received the Scripture differed only after knowledge came unto them, through transgression among themselves. Whoso disbelieveth the revelations of Allah (will find that) lo! Allah is swift at reckoning.

Holy Quran 62:9-10
------------------

O ye who believe! When the call is heard for the prayer of the day of congregation, haste unto remembrance of Allah and leave your trading. That is better for you if ye did but know.

And when the prayer is ended, then disperse in the land and seek of Allah's bounty, and remember Allah much, that ye may be successful.

Holy Quran 2:286
------------------

Allah tasketh not a soul beyond its scope. For it (is only) that which it hath earned, and against it (only) that which it hath deserved. Our Lord! Condemn us not if we forget, or miss the mark! Our Lord! Lay not on us such a burden as thou didst lay on those before us! Our Lord! Impose not on us that which we have not the strength to bear! Pardon us, absolve us and have mercy on us, Thou, our Protector, and give us victory over the disbelieving folk.

Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem..

"Narrated Anas bin Malik:

"When the Mu'adhdhin pronounced the Adhan, some of the companions of the Prophet would proceed to the pillars of the mosque (for the prayer) till the Prophet arrived and in this way they used to pray two Rakat before the Maghrib prayer. There used to be a little time between the Adhan and the Iqama." Shu'ba said, "There used to be a very short interval between the two (Adhan and Iqama)."

O son of Adam, if Shaytan whispers to you with a sin, or if you yourself are inclined towards it, then remember along with that what Allah bestowed upon you from His Book, that which, if it was bestowed upon an unshakable mountain, it would have been humbled and broken apart. Have you not heard Him saying: "If We had sent down this Qur'an upon a mountain, you would have seen it humbled and broken apart from fear of Allah." [Sooratul-Hashr 59:21]

Our Lord! Forgive me and my parents and believers on the day when the account is cast.

Last Day Close When Unfit Rule

Abu Hurairah (radi Allahu anhu) reported: “Once the Prophet (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) was speaking to us when a bedouin came and asked him, ‘When will the Last Day be?’ When the Messenger of Allah concluded his speech he asked, ‘Where is the one who inquired about the Last Day?’ The man replied: ‘Here I am.’ The Messenger of Allah replied, ‘When the practice of honouring a trust is lost, expect the Last Day.’ The bedouin asked: ‘How could it be lost?’ The Prophet replied, ‘When the government is entrusted to undeserving people, then wait for the Last Day.’” [Sahih Bukhari]

Thus we are told that a sign of the nearness of the Day of Judgement is that unworthy people will become leaders. The affairs of the world will be in the hands of unfit and undeserving people. Sinners and wicked people will become rulers. Pulpits will be occupied by the greedy and ignorant, people who are devoid of piety and abstinence.

Since this is the current state of affairs, we should be reminded of the end of times and sincerely do our best to correct ourselves. Actually, regardless of when the Day of Judgement comes, a person’s own judgement will begin with his/her death and this could happen any second for anybody. Death does not come with a warning.

O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.

The Forbidding of Performing Oppression

On the authority of Abu Dzar al-Ghifari radiyallahu anhu, narrated from The Prophet sallallahu alaihi wa sallam, he (The Prophet) narrated from Allah Azza wa Jalla, indeed, Allah has said, O My servants, I have made oppression unlawful for Me and I have made it forbidden among you, so do not oppress among yourselves. O My servants, all of you are liable to err except those whom I give direction, therefore seek direction from Me, I will then direct you to the right path. All of you are originally hungry (needy), except those whom I feed, so seek food from Me, I will then feed you.
O My servants, all of you are originally naked, except those whom I clothe, and seek for clothing to me, I will clothe you. O my servants, verily you commit sin in the day and night, and I will forgive you from those sins, then seek for My forgiveness, then I will forgive you.
O My servants, verily you are not able to endanger Me and you can not benefit Me. O My Servants, if the first human being to the last one, human or jinn, all of them are fear of Allah as if those who fear the most among you, that matter will not add My mighty even by a little. If the first creation to the last one, human being and jinn, all of them are committed sin as bad as the worst person among you, that matter will not reduce My sovereignty by a little.
O My servants, if from the first creation to the last one, human being and jinn, all of them are in one place, and they gather to seek to Me, and then I will fulfil all their requests, that matter will not reduce things upon Me, as if (reduced water that is sticked to) one piece of needle that is drawn in the see. O My servants, all your deeds, I will take note for you, and I will repay you. Therefore, those who obtain good things, be grateful to Allah and those who receive other than that, do not blame others but themselves. (Muslim)

Never Tires of Good

The Messenger of Allah (sal Allahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A believer never gets satisfied doing good until he reaches Jannah.” [Tirmidhi]

According to this hadith, it is a quality of a Muslim that he or she is very concerned about acquiring virtues and doing good, and never tires of struggling for and living by virtuous deeds. This is because “a believer sees his sins as if he were sitting under a mountain which, he is afraid, may fall on him; whereas the wicked person considers his sins as flies passing over his nose and he just drives them away like this. Abu Shihab (the sub-narrator of this statement of Abdullah ibn Masud’s) moved his hand over his nose in illustration.” [Sahih Bukhari]

High achieving students never stop studying because they never feel satisfied that what they know is sufficient. They don’t limit themselves to the bare minimum amount of knowledge needed to pass. One who does so is in danger of failing. Even when they are well prepared they feel that they could know more, or that they might make a mistake which they would have to compensate for with something else. Another reason that high achieving students keep on studying is because of their love for learning.

Similar is the case of a Muslim with good deeds. They love to please Allah (subhana wa ta’ala) and enter His Jannah. Additionally, they are afraid that what they have prepared of good deeds may not be sufficient so they keep doing what is pleasing to Allah (subhana wa ta’ala). A borderline pass is not what they aim for, because one could easily make a mistake and end up failing. They aim for a high ‘A’. They do not underestimate the enormity of the sins that they commit and see their sins as a huge mountain looming over them. Thus, they are always trying to compensate for their shortcomings. In this struggle a Muslim reaches the end of his or her life. Such is the successful person for he achieves Jannah.

TAFSIR IBN KATHIR .....MUSIC ....
SURAH LUQMAN

When Allah mentions the blessed -- who are those who are guided by the Book of Allah and benefit from hearing it, as He says:

(Allah has sent down the Best Statement, a Book, its parts resembling each other (and) oft-repeated. The skins of those who fear their Lord shiver from it. Then their skin and their heart soften to the remembrance of Allah) (39:23). He connect that with mention of the doomed, those who turn away from the Qur'an and do not benefit from hearing the Words of Allah. Instead, they turn to listening to flutes and singing accompanied by musical instruments. As Ibn Mas`ud commented about the Ayah:

(And of mankind is he who purchases Lahu Al-Hadith to mislead (men) from the path of Allah), he said, "This -- by Allah -- refers to singing.''

(And of mankind is he who purchases Lahw Al-Hadith to mislead (men) from the path of Allah without knowledge, ) Qatadah said: "By Allah, he may not spend money on it, but his purchasing it means he likes it, and the more misguided he is, the more he likes it and the more he prefers falsehood to the truth and harmful things over beneficial things.'' It was said that what is meant by the words

(purchases idle talks) is buying singing servant girls. Ibn Jarir said that it means all speech that hinders people from seeing the signs of Allah and following His path. His saying:

(to mislead (men) from the path of Allah) means, he does this to oppose Islam and its followers.

(and takes it by way of mockery.) Mujahid said, "This means mocking the path of Allah and making fun of it.''

(For such there will be a humiliating torment.) Just as they showed no respect to the signs and path of Allah, so they will be shown no respect on the Day of Resurrection, and they will be subjected to a painful, ongoing torment. Then Allah says:

(And when Our Ayat are recited to such a one, he turns away in pride, as if he heard them not -- as if there were deafness in his ear.) means, when these Qur'anic verses are recited to one who is fond of idleness and play, he turns away from them and does not want to hear them. He turns a deaf ear to them as if he can hear nothing, because it annoys him to hear them since he gains no benefit from them and has no interest in them.

(So announce to him a painful torment.) i.e., on the Day of Resurrection, which will hurt him just as much as listening to the Book of Allah and its verses hurt him.

(8. Verily, those who believe and do righteous good deeds, for them are Gardens of Delight.) (9. To abide therein. It is a promise of Allah in truth. And He is the All-Mighty, the All-Wise.)
