Introducing Toco/ Sangre Grande Youth League Chairman *DARION POPE* as the next *EDUCATION OFFICER* of the PNM National Youth League!
At just 23 years old, Darion Pope is a dedicated member of the People’s National Movement (PNM), with a passion for serving his community and empowering the next generation. Growing up in North Eastern Settlement within the Toco/ Sangre Grande Constituency, Darion’s commitment to the PNM began at the age of 8, giving him a deep-rooted understanding of the party’s values and mission.
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, and holding both a diploma in Business Management and an advanced diploma in Human Resource Management, Darion is well-equipped to bring strategic thinking and resource management to the National Youth League. His academic foundation and leadership experience positions him to contribute significantly to the League's educational initiatives.
As the Vice-Chairman and now Chairman of the Toco/ Sangre Grande Constituency Youth League, as well as Chairman of Party Group 40, Darion has demonstrated his dedication to youth development and organizational leadership. He also serves on the PNM General Council, helping to shape the future of the party.
Darion’s vision as the incoming Education Officer is centered on supporting the reinvigoration of the Party School, ensuring it becomes a hub for knowledge, growth, and leadership development. He believes that the Party School should play a crucial role in educating and empowering young people within the movement, helping them to deepen their understanding of PNM’s values, policies, and history. His goal is to create programs that inspire a new generation of leaders, fostering critical thinking and a sense of responsibility among youth.
Darion’s Christian faith guides his commitment to service. He has led several community initiatives, including Christmas hamper drives and back-to-school stationery distributions, all reflecting his belief in giving back and making a positive impact.
As he offers himself for the role of Education Officer, Darion is focused on driving innovation in youth education and leadership development. With transparency, accountability, and service at the core of his work, Darion is committed to advancing the League’s vision of creating informed, empowered, and engaged young leaders.
