THE LOST GLORY of the CHURCH / iCHABOD
(1 Samuel 4:21-22)

ICHABOD means the Glory of God has departed from the temple.

Why does the Church lost its glory/power?
We have structure but without power.
We have activities but without presence.
We have noise but without glory.

THE GLORY DAYS OF THE CHURCH AFTER THE PENTECOST
(ACTS 3)

THE APOSTLES PRAYED (Acts 4:29-30, Acts 5:12,14,15, Acts 19:11-12)

How did the church lose its glory (power)?
1. PERSISTENT SINS (PAULIT-ULIT NA KASALANAN) - An ongoing, unrepentant practice of wrongdoings. (1 Samuel 2:12,22, 1 Samuel 3:11, Revelation 2;16)
2. MORAL DECAY (PAGKABULOK NG MORALIDAD) - Gradual weakening or deterioration of ethical standards. (Romans 1:28-29, Amos 8:11-12)
3. LOST PASSION FOR GOD (PANGHIHINA) - A part of spiritual journey often caused by exhaustion, routine, unconfessed sin or life distraction. (Revelation 2:4-5, 1 Peter 5:10)

CHALLENGE!!
YOU ARE CALLED TO CARRY THE WEIGHT OF HIS GLORY!
YOU ARE CALLED TO HOST HIS PRESENCE!

Arise, shine, and cover the earth with the Glory of God!
