Wiesbaden Protestant Women of the Chapel

In 1952, the Nuremberg Post formed a group called "Protestant Women of the Chapel" becoming a forerunner of what would soon become PWOC-Europe.

We are a local gathering of PWOC, a volunteer organization that aims To LEAD women to Christ, to TEACH women God's Word, to DEVELOP women's spiritual gifts and to INVOLVE women in Chapel ministries With the advent of dependents in the European commands in the early 1950's, women’s organizations made their appearance in the chapels of USAREUR (US Army Europe). In 1955, CH Edwin Kirtley, USAREUR Chaplain, called for women in all chapels to form PWOC groups. He invited leaders of all women's groups in the European Theater chapels to a training and organizing conference in October 1955. One hundred and fifty women attended that conference and in those few short days, these women put together the basic organization that prevails
today in PWOC. PWOC is a time to come together to worship our Lord Jesus Christ, study His word, fellowship with one another, and reach out to our community sharing Christ's love with them.

🖐🏽 Here is the fifth teaser of the studies we will be offering this semester!
For us, it is a blessing to be able to present two studies in languages other than English: Spanish (español) and Korean (한국어).
💚 There’s nothing like studying God’s Word in the language of your soul!

The next books are:
🙏 "Una fe viva: un estudio bíblico de Santiago" by Patricia Namnún
Specifically written for the Christian woman, this five-weeks bible study of James aims to deepen the reader’s understanding of each chapter with the end goal that they discover its message in the process.

Since the overarching message of James is how our faith must display a life of obedience, Patricia calls women to action and encourages them to live out the new identity they have received in Christ.

📖 "John: 요한복음 I" by Precept Bible Research Institute (프리셉트성경연구원)
As we did last semester, this semester we will continue studying the Gospel of John to learn who Jesus is, why He came to this world, and about His public and personal ministry, so that we may know and believe more deeply in Jesus Christ, the Son of God.

🙏 1. "The Truth Project" by Dr. Del Tackett
This study offers 12 weeks of one hour lessons on the big questions we all ponder! There will be 6 video lessons and 3 weeks of discussion covered in the Fall and 6 more videos and 3 discussion weeks in the Spring. Dr. Tackett provides a solid introduction to Christian worldview thinking and teaches how to think about the following questions logically and with a Biblical worldview.
