9 TOP NOTCH LESSONS FROM AN EAGLE

1. Have a strong vision

Eagles can spot their prey up to 5 kilometers below, and their eyesight is way better than most of the other birds. So, when an eagle detects a prey from the heights, its focus becomes narrow, then it soars upward and rapidly descends from the sky to attack.

Similarly, you should have a clear vision and then work with focus to achieve your target. Henry Ford said, “Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goal.” So, always remember this first lesson from the eagle- have a strong vision and don’t take your eyes off the goal.

*2. Rise above your problems*

Eagles become excited during storms and rain; they spread their giant wings and allow the storm to lift them above the cloud. When other birds hide in branches of trees, the eagle flies above the clouds. While the storm rages below, the eagle is soaring above it.

This is one of the greatest lessons from the eagle, which inspires me like nothing. So often, we feel immobilized because of our problems; we feel hopeless and broken. But once we understand that no matter how big a problem is, we are bigger than them, our way of approaching the problems changes. So, rise above the problems so that they no longer remain a problem.3. Find opportunities in problems
In the above point we saw, eagles are the only bird that loves the storm. Of course, a storm is a significant problem for other birds, but eagles find an opportunity of flying high in this problem.

Sometimes we get frustrated with our problems, try to avoid it, and blame God for making us unlucky. However, we forget that difficulties always come with opportunities for growth. This is another eye-opening lesson from the eagle, which tells us to embrace the problems because they have hidden opportunities.

*4. Move with speed*

Eagles can fly at a speed of 129 km/h, and they are one of the fastest flying birds. So here, the lesson from the eagle is that we should stop being lazy and start building speed. Having speed increases your productivity, and you do more things in a short time. In this information economy where everything is constantly changing, the faster you learn to master complex things, the better will be your chances of achieving success.

*5. Get out of your comfort zone*

When it is time for the eaglets to learn to fly, the mother eagle throws them out of the nest. Out of fear, eaglets try to jump back into the nest. Then, the mother eagle removes the comfort layers of the nest, leaving behind the thorns. Eaglets, shrieking and bleeding, are thrown repeatedly until the eaglets ultimately start flapping their wings, getting stronger and stronger with each flap and finally flying. This lesson from the eagle can help you understand the importance of living out of your comfort zone when it comes to learning and growing. So often, we avoid complex and uncertain things because they are painful. But you have to pay the price of discomfort if you want to achieve something worthwhile. If you’re going to fly high, you must be ready for the discomfort.6. Leave the past, be in the moment
Eagles feed on live food. They never eat dead animals like vultures. Here the lesson from the eagle is you should let go of the past. Often people regret the past, forgetting that they have no control over what has already happened. Past is like a dead moment; hence let go of it and be in the present. You must try to make the best out of this moment because this moment is all you have.

*7. Fly high*

Eagles are one of the highest-flying birds which can fly at an altitude of 10,000 feet. When they flap their wings, it causes faster airflow at the top, which creates an upward force and lets them fly at such a high altitude. In addition, their long wings help them to soar effortlessly. There are significantly fewer birds that can fly at such heights.

We can apply this lesson from the eagle in our life too. We should focus on flying at higher altitudes so that we don’t get affected by the negativity of those below. Keep improving your flight and try to fly the highest in life because there are no limits.

*8. Be courageous*

Eagles attack their prey no matter how big or daunting it may be; they fight with it and defeat with all their strength. Even if they fail, they never stop trying. In addition, eagles can kill prey that can be many times their size.

In life, we also face obstacles that seem bigger. But no matter how dangerous it may seem, we must attack it and try to defeat it with all our strength. Success or failure doesn’t matter; what matters is the effort we are putting.

*9. Embrace the pain*

When eagles reach the age of 40 years, they turn weak, and survival becomes difficult. To regain strength, they have to go through a painful process of rebirth. For that, they retire to a lonely place where they pluck out every feather on their body until they are completely bare and knock their beak against a rock so that the new one develops. This rebirth extends their life for more 30 years.

One of the most important lessons from the eagle is this: No pain, no gain. If you want to achieve something great, if you’re going to change your habits, you have to go through pain and discomfort. And sometimes it becomes necessary to have a rebirth, leave old habits and replace them with good ones. A revival allows us to start a new life with more strength and wisdomConclusion
We learned some excellent lessons from the eagle- have a strong vision, move with speed, be in the present, rise above the problems, find opportunities in problems, get out of your comfort zone, fly high, be courageous, and embrace the pain. Now it’s no wonder why Lame Deer said, “In the eagle, there is all the wisdom of the world.” So, whenever you face challenges in life and think of giving up, remember the Eagle.

YOU HAVE SOMETHING TO PROTECT

Protect your dignity. No matter your past, you’ve not lost everything. Don’t sell you body cheap. Your dignity may be attacked but it cannot be robbed away – you can only surrender it!

Protect your thoughts. Think for yourself. Learn from others but don’t allow anyone to manipulate you. Protect your sanity. The quality of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts.

Protect your family. Don’t allow anyone to attack your partner and children. If you love her, fight for her. If you love him, stand with him. You’d rather argue with your partner than kiss someone else.

Protect your time. Take care of your work. You don’t have enough time to waste. Life is lived in time. He who wastes time, wastes life. Anyone and anything that wastes your time steals your life.

Protect your faith. Don’t be tossed to and fro by every wind of doctrine (Eph 4:14). Work out your salvation with fear and trembling (Phil 2:12). Not to earn salvation, but to walk right before God.

"The only bird that dares to peck the eagle is the crow. It sits on its back and bites its neck. However, the eagle doesn't respond, nor does it fight with the crow; it doesn't waste any time or effort on it, it just opens its wings and begins to climb up the highest place in the sky. The higher the flight, the harder it is for the crow to breathe and then the crow falls due to lack of oxygen. Stop wasting time with crows. With dangerous people who only approach your life to try to destabilize you to project their own storm on you. Just take them to your heights and they will disappear on their own".

If we are true Christians, we must not expect everything smooth in our journey to heaven. We must count it no strange thing, if we have to endure sicknesses, losses, bereavements, and disappointments, just like other men. He has never promised that we shall have no afflictions.

Life is in seasons and phases.
Changes without warning.
Be nice to others, so that you can receive same measure when life takes a twist!

Six vital certainties:

1. Life is short and uncertain.
2. Death is sure.
3. Judgment is inevitable.
4. Sin is exceeding sinful.
5. Hell is a dreadful reality.
6. Christ alone can save you.

WHEN YOU DIE

When you die, don't worry about your body...

Your relatives will do whatever it takes.
They will take off your clothes
They will wash you
They will dress you up
They will take you out of the house and deliver you to your new address.
Many will come to the funeral to honor you.
Some will even cancel their plans and ask for labor to go to the funeral.

Your things you didn't like to borrow will be sold, donated or burned.
Your keys
Your tools
Your books
Your CDs, DVDs, games
Your collections
Your clothes...

And be sure the world won't stop and cry for you.
The economy will continue.
You will be replaced in work. Someone with the same or even better ability will take your place.

Your property will switch to heirs.
And don't doubt that about you for the small and big things you have done in your life will speak, judge, doubt and criticize.

People who only knew you face will say, ′′ Poor thing!"

Your good friends will cry for a few hours or several days, but then they will laugh again.

Your pets will get used to the new owner.

Your pictures will be hanging on the wall for awhile, then they will be put on furniture and finally stored at the bottom of the box.

Someone else will sit on your couch and eat from it.

Deep pain in your home will last a week, two, one month, two, one year, two... Then you will join the memories and then your story will end.
It will end among people, end here, end in this world.

But your story begins in a new reality... in your life after death.

Your life is earthly where you couldn't move with the things you had here will lose the meaning they had.
the beauty of your body

Last name
property
loans
working position
bank account
the house
the car
academic titles
Classmates
trophies
Friends of the world
man / woman
the kids
the family...

In your new life, you will only need your soul.
The only property that will last is the soul.

So try to live your life full and be happy while you are here because, as Francis of Assisi said, ′′ You won't take what you have from here. You only take what you gave!"

STOP SPENDING MONEY THAT YOU DONT HAVE!!!

Most of our stresses are self-inflicted. Learn to control your urges. Align your way of life with your income. Never buy anything to show off. Don’t copy the crowd blindly. You don’t know what stresses they’re masking.

Credit cards are useful for emergencies, not luxuries. Don’t go on vacation on borrowed money. Save your way to holidays. Matters luxuries, don’t consume before you produce.

Don’t spend more than 25% of your income on housing. Take your children to a school you can afford. Drive a car that fits your budget. Don’t compromise what you really need for what you want today.

Good things come to those who wait. Essau lost his birthright to a bowl of soup. If you have no savings and you are accumulating personal debts, you consume beyond your production.

There’s a Swedish Proverb that says, “He who buys what he does not need steals from himself.” Live within your means but continually work on expanding your means.

THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN LOVE AND LIKE

Like is skin deep. Like leads to s*x with no commitments. They leave you after s*x. When you like someone, moving on is a piece of cake. Their absence in your life doesn’t make much difference.

Love is deep. Love commits. Love takes responsibility. Love sacrifices. Where there’s love, people love spending time together. Love takes time to build. People in love value each other’s opinions.

Like is at first sight - an instant attraction for somebody you just met. When you like someone, the person is your source of happiness. When you love someone, you are the source of their happiness.

When you like someone, you focus on their looks. Love goes beyond the physical appearance. Like is all about impressions. When people love one another, they remain natural despite their flaws.

Like is all about perfection – superficial images of both parties. With love, you appreciate that person is human and imperfect. You embrace them as they are and seek to understand them.

LATER

- Talk to you later.

- I'll call you later.

- See you later.

- We'll walk later.

"I'll tell you later."

We leave everything for later, but forget that "later" does not belong to us.

Later, our loved ones are no longer with us.

Later, we don't hear them and we don't see them.

Later, they are just memories.

Later, the day becomes night, the force becomes helpless, the smile becomes a grimace, and life becomes death.

"Later" becomes "too late."

Rev. Fr. Dr. Constant Leke

Many are afraid of death, but they are not afraid to waste time. You can't live life to the fullest when you spend your time wasting time.

Life is made up of time, to waste time is to waste life and to waste life is to welcome death.

Your time is limited, invest it only in what matters. Time wasted is gone forever, no second is repeated.

Time is free, but priceless. Respect it, value it, maximize it and it will reward you with the best things in life, including life.

Life is short, today is the youngest you will ever be. Live everyday on purpose, keep track of your time. Commit to making the most of your time and the fear of death will end.
