Vogelbaum

Vogelbaum “To question what exists and to radically transform it remain our most compelling imperatives.“ Amos Vogel, 1984

Amos Vogel (1922–2012) was the founder of Cinema 16 and New York Film Festival. An Austrian Jewish immigrant, Vogelbaum, as he was called when still in Austria, dedicated his life to supporting the pioneering efforts of independent artists and aesthetic rebels. A film is subjective creativity and so is its reception - whether a film is different or popular, what one might call awful or beautiful,

whether you love it or are repelled by it, whether it is extreme or mainstream. With our programm we would like to follow Vogel's concept. We will present monthly evenings of alternative cinematic treats at Kino in der Brotfabrik, Berlin. https://vimeo.com/20313500
