2018 BREAKTHROUGH; August 16, (Read Ecclesiastes 11:4). In life, there are only two options: make excuses or make progress. No excuse has ever promoted anyone. A person of excuses is already displaying failure. Put aside your excuses and step forward, face the challenge before you courageously. Even if you fail, at least you have tried and your failure is not final. To succeed, you must rise above every excuse. 90% of failure come from people who make excuses. Make an effort not an excuse. Moses, (Ex.3:11,13) Isaiah (Isaiah 6:5) and Jeremiah (Jer. 1:6) did great exploits only after overcoming their excuses. Today, find the way forward, not another excuse. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Repent of any excuse you have been making. (2) Ask God to give you wisdom and courage to move forward. (Rev. S. A.)

2018 BREAKTHROUGH: August 15, (Read Psalm 118:24). "This the day that the Lord has made." The way you begin a day defines how you will spend and end the day. Don't start this day with the broken pieces of yesterday. Leave bad memories behind. Everyday is a new beginning. You will never have this day again, so make it count. Free yourself from past mistakes by forgiving yourself for what you have done or been through. This day is another chance for you to start over. Start it with a grateful heart knowing that it holds countless opportunities for you. Have a peaceful heart, a contented spirit and happy attitudes and your day will be pleasant and successful. Then, you'll "rejoice and be glad in it." PRAYER POINTS. (1) Thank God for this day. (2) Ask God to help you make this day count the rest of your life. 2018 BREAKTHROUGH: August 13, (Read John 16:33). "Be of good cheer." Life is too short to dwell on sadness. People will always throw stones in your path. The outcome depends on what you make out of them; a wall or a bridge? Make a bridge and move on. Everyday may not be good, but there's something good in every day. Laugh at the confusion and smile through your tears. Keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason. Turn your face to the sun and focused on the bright side of life, shadows will fall behind you. Stop being afraid of what could go wrong, start being excited about what could go right and you will find beauty in the ugliest day. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Ask God to open your eyes to see beauty in the ugliest day. (2) Ask the Holy Spirit to give a cheerful heart in the most trying moments. (Rev. S. A.)

2018 BREAKTHROUGH: August 09, (Read 2Timothy 4:7,8). The most painful life is a life lived regretting. It is the worst hell a living soul can inhabit. It's better to look back on life and say: "I can't believe I did that," than to look back and say: "I wish I did that." No matter how much you regret, how angry or sad you become, your yesterdays will never return. Living in regret is living in pointless suffering. Let go! Life is too short to wake up with regrets. Living in regret is denying yourself happinesses. Politicians think of the next election, state men think of the next generation. Your past is done, forget about it. Your future is yet to come, dream about it, focus on it and move on. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Ask for deliverance from feelings of regret. (2) Ask for grace to move forward with the lessons learned from past failures. (Rev. S. A.)

2018 BREAKTHROUGH: August 08, (Read Psalm 118:8). Disappointment is the feeling we get when what we expect doesn't happen. Ever been disappointed by those you love so much? Don't blame them for disappointing you, blame yourself for expecting too much from them. When we get too attached to someone, it leads to expectations, expectations lead to disappointment & disappointment to bitterness and discouragement. Don't allow your disappointments to break your heart & make you bitter. Rather, let them break you down, and rebuild you up so you can stand on your own. Avoid disappointment by not expecting anything from anyone. If you expect nothing from anyone but only trust God, your life will be full of pleasant surprises. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Ask God to forgive those who disappoint-ed you. (2) Ask for grace to depend only on God and not man. (Rev. S. A.)

2018 BREAKTHROUGH: August 02, (Read Ruth 1:11-16 ). Do you have friends? Like money, hold them up to the sun and see which are fake and which are real. The best thing you can lose in life are fairweather friends. They are only friends when circumstances are profitable. They are there because they need you not because you need them. Like shadows, they follow you in the sun and leave you in the dark. They are a burden, not a blessing. Let them go! When one true friend walks into your life, a new world begins. He helps you find the things you have lost; your smile, hope, peace, joy and courage. He advises you objectively, defends you courageously and assists you readily. Jesus is the best friend you can have. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Ask God to sack all the fake friends in your life. (2) Thank Jesus for being a trustworthy friend & for always being there for you. (Rev. S. 2018 BREAKTHROUGH: July 30, (Read John 8:32). The world is sick because there is a deficiency of people of truth. Telling the truth and making someone to cry is better than telling a lie and making someone to smile. If you are careless with the truth in small matters, you can't be trusted with important matters. Never be afraid to raise your voice in honesty and truth against injustice, lying and greed. Truth has never damaged a just course. Don't bend it; don't water it down and don't make it logical or edit it. It will be ridiculed, then violently opposed, but finally it will prevail. Those who are mad at you for telling the truth are living in a lie. Keep standing for the truth and you'll overcome. PRAYER POINTS: (1) Ask for boldness to stand for the truth even if it means standing alone. (2) Pray for the victory of those on the side of truth. (Rev. S. A.)
