Bonjour, frères et sœurs. JLe passage d'aujourd'hui met l'accent sur le point de vue correct qui nous permet de trouver de la joie dans l'adversité. Faire confiance à la justice de Dieu et reconnaître notre mortalité nous permet de travailler avec joie. Cela implique de maintenir une vision spécifique de Dieu et une vision spécifique de nous-mêmes pour vivre une vie joyeuse. Si nous avons une très haute opinion de nous-mêmes, nous deviendrons un individu plutôt malheureux. Dans cette section (3 : 16-22), Salomon souligne le problème du monde au verset 16 et fournit ensuite le point de vue que nous devrions adopter pour aborder cette question au verset 17. Dans les versets 18 à 21, il révèle l'intention de Dieu concernant les événements qui se produisent dans le monde, concernant ce problème, puis au verset 22, il illustre ce que nous devrions rechercher. Hello, brothers and sisters. Today's passage emphasizes the correct viewpoint that allows us to find joy in adversity. Trusting in God's justice and recognizing our mortality allows us to work with joy. This involves maintaining a specific view of God and a specific view of ourselves to live a joyful life. If we hold a very high opinion of ourselves, we will become quite an unhappy individual. In this section (3:16-22), Solomon points out the world's issue in verse 16 and subsequently provides the viewpoint we should adopt in addressing that issue in verse 17. In verses 18 to 21, he reveals the intent of God regarding the events happening in the world, concerning that issue, and then in verse 22 he illustrates what we ought to seek. Bonjour, frères et sœurs. Jusqu'à présent, nous avons vu que l'auteur de l'Ecclésiaste était en quête de profit (1:3 ; 2:11). Ces recherches l'ont amené à plusieurs reprises à conclure qu'il n'y a pas de profit sous le soleil, mais il ne s'arrête pas là, car la quête du profit est insatiable. Il le mentionne à nouveau au verset 9 de notre passage. Mais il conclut au verset 14 : « On ne peut rien ajouter à ce que Dieu fait, ni rien en retrancher. Dieu l'a fait afin que les hommes le craignent.» Puisque Dieu est souverain sur le temps et les saisons, et qu'il poursuit un dessein éternel, nous devons le craindre, faire le bien et j***r de la vie qu'il nous a donnée. Hello, brothers and sisters. So far, we have seen that the writer of Ecclesiastes has been on a search for gain (1:3; 2:11). These explorations have repeatedly led him to conclude that there is no gain under the sun, yet he doesn't stop because the quest for gain is never satisfied. He mentions it again in verse 9 of our passage. But he concludes in verse 14 that 'Whatever God does, nothing can be added to it, nor anything taken from it. God has done it, so that people will fear before him.' Since God is sovereign over time and seasons with an eternal purpose, we should fear God, do good, and enjoy the life he has given us. Bonjour, frères et sœurs. Qu’est-ce qui, selon vous, vous apportera un bonheur durable tout au long de votre vie ? Est-ce la réussite scolaire ? Est-ce le plaisir de la vie ? Est-ce le soutien de la famille ? Est-ce avoir des enfants ? Est-ce l’admiration d’autrui, ou peut-être une somme d’argent considérable ? Bonjour, frères et sœurs. L'Ecclésiaste nous est donné pour que nous apprenions à être des personnes véritablement joyeuses, car nous ne cessons de demander au monde ce que seul Dieu peut nous donner. Le sermon de la semaine dernière a mis en lumière cette vérité : il y aura toujours un fossé entre nos désirs et ce que le monde nous offre. Tant que nous n'aurons pas reconnu ce décalage, que nous ne nous serons pas humiliés et que nous n'aurons pas demandé à Dieu de nous enseigner la joie véritable et durable, nous ne serons jamais un peuple joyeux. Comprendre que tout est vanité comble ce fossé et nous donne la perspective juste sur la manière dont nous devons poursuivre nos objectifs dans cette vie. Bonjour, frères et sœurs. Aujourd'hui, nous nous joignons à l'apôtre Jean sur l'île de Patmos pour contempler la vision extraordinaire du peuple de Dieu, l'Église, appelée l'épouse de l'Agneau. Les descriptions que Jean fait de cette épouse resplendissante révèlent qu'elle est revêtue de la splendeur de Dieu, telle une pierre précieuse. Nous y voyons le peuple de Dieu dans un état glorieux : parfait, pur, saint et sans défaut, libre de toute malédiction et totalement exempt de corruption. Le nom de Dieu est inscrit sur leur front. Jean partage cette magnifique image du peuple de Dieu pour encourager les croyants à demeurer fermes dans leur foi, à la lumière des gloires à venir. They have the name of God written on their foreheads. Ce psaume est rarement cité par les chrétiens ou évoqué lors d'événements religieux, car son contenu est assez sombre et désolant. Les propos du psalmiste sont assez troublants. Cependant, cela devrait nous encourager à approfondir notre réflexion pour comprendre ce que Dieu cherche à nous dire. Hello, brothers and sisters. Today's message comes from the book of Psalms, focussing on Psalm 88. This particular Psalm is rarely quoted by Christians or referenced during events, as its content is quite somber and bleak. The statements made by the Psalmist are quite unsettling. Bonjour, frères et sœurs. Nous voici au terme de notre étude de l'épître aux Colossiens. Tout au long de ce livre, Paul a chanté un refrain constant : « Jésus nous suffit.» Il a longuement insisté sur ce point. En effet, certains membres de l'Église de Colosses, bien qu'annonciateurs de Jésus, prêchaient d'autres choses que le Christ qu'ils annonçaient (2.16-23).
Paul commence par expliquer qu'il n'y a d'espoir de passer du pouvoir des ténèbres au royaume de Dieu que par le Christ (1.1-14). Le Christ seul est l'image du Dieu invisible, la plénitude de Dieu incarnée (1.15-20). Jésus a désarmé le diable en pardonnant nos péchés, et nous vivons désormais en liberté (1.24-2.23). Paul poursuit en affirmant que cette vérité doit guider notre vie au présent (3.1-4.1), car lorsque Jésus devient notre vie, il nous habite pleinement. Hello, brothers and sisters. We have come to the end of our series in the book of Colossians, and throughout this book, we have heard one song that Paul has been singing: Jesus is enough. Paul has spent a great deal of time addressing this. For there were some people in the church of Colossae who were preaching Jesus, but they advocated other things besides the Christ they preached (2:16-23).
Paul begins by explaining that there is no hope of moving from the domain of darkness into the kingdom of God except through Christ (1:1-14); Christ alone is the image of the invisible God, the fulness of God in the flesh (1:15-20); Jesus has disarmed the devil by forgiving our sins, and now we live in freedom (1:24-2:23). Paul continues to argue that this knowledge should drive the way we live in the present (3:1-4:1), because when Jesus becomes your life, he controls every part of you. Bonjour, frères et sœurs. Jusqu’à présent, nous avons noté que Paul commence cette lettre en décrivant l’Église de Colosses comme composée de saints fidèles en Christ. Grâce à leur union avec Jésus, ils ont désormais part à sa sainteté et à sa fidélité, ce qui est possible parce que cela repose sur ce que le Christ a accompli. Dans cette perspective, Paul souligne la présence du Saint-Esprit parmi eux, leur foi et l’amour qu’ils se portent les uns aux autres, et il en rend grâce à Dieu. Cela nous amène au cœur de notre passage : lorsque nous sommes unis au Christ en tant que saints fidèles, nous devons vivre en communion avec l’Église et les Églises fidèles. Hello, brothers and sisters. So far, we've noted that Paul begins this letter by describing the church in Colossae as faithful saints in Christ. Because of their union with Jesus, they now share in his holiness and faithfulness, and this is possible because it is based on what Christ accomplished. In this light, Paul notes the gift of the Holy Spirit among them, their faith and love for one another, and gives thanks to God for it. This leads us to the point of our passage: when we are united to Christ as faithful saints, we must fellowship with the church and faithful churches. En tant que peuple de Dieu, nous avons le devoir de saluer chacun sans exception.
