Theme: The Prayer Of A Mature Christian.
Text: Eph1:17-23.
We've seen Apst Paul prayed for the Ephesians, that the glorious father will give them wisdom, we see he never prayed in his own name, he prayed in the name of God of our Lord Jesus Christ Himself. For we to pray effectively, we must table our prayers accordingly to the one who is able to deliver us particularly, that's why the man Jesus Christ is able and in His name we are able to dismantle the powers of darkness, so we don't pray in the name of a prphet or a servant of God or who ever, but the name of Jesus Christ, He is the only mediator between God and man, when you know how to pray, you'll always have results when you pray.
Two things you must do, be in the right side of God and then the have the fear of God, this will activate the power of prayer in you.
More so, you need God's inspiration, which is the God's given capacity to do things beyond physical ability, when we are inspired, the things we do seems like foolishness in the eyes of the lay man, revelation is what's uncommon to man, that's why they comes as revelations, these are mysteries, where by human lives are embedded, inspirations opens the supernatural, then it helps us know God better, and this eventually draws us closer to God. David said he prefers being a gateman in the house of rather being a king somewhere else.
Wisdom and revelation are the two keys that gets us into fountains of God's knowledge. It's not about reading the scriptures, but your revelation knowledge of whom God is, head knowledge can not help us know God, but revelation and wisdom do, Peter had operated in the love of God, because he left everything to follow Jesus Christ, he operated in fear of God because he obeyed Jesus Christ, he operated in wisdom of God because he was able to grasp God's knowledge, and he operated in God's revelations because he was able to perceive who Jesus Christ is, Be like Peter in Jesus name 🙏

SUNDAY Sept 15th 2024 WOGC CONSECRATION SERVICE.
Theme: Storms Before The Shine.
Text; Mark4:35-41
To begin with, we should understand it's Jesus Christ that asked the disciples to board the boat to the other side, from our lesson from this passage, you'll understand that God does not initiate a project He can't finish, this should encourage you to study His Word and key into the promises mentioned there in.
On their path, they encountered challenges such as the sinking of the boat by the storm and tides, fear caught them but not remembering it's God who initiated it and the journey couldn't fail despite any form of challenge, that's on our own, when we initiate a project without sometimes enquiring from him, even when challenges start setting in, we don't call on Him for intervention, Jesus Christ won't allow us to embark on anything that'll fail us. When the boat was almost capsizing, they shouted to the Lord, when the wind was breaking into the boat, they identified it was the storm was the cause, sometimes make sure you identify the root cause of the problem in your life. Jesus Christ too was in the boat, sleeping, meaning it also rained on him so it's possible it can rain on us too, never try finding solution yourself but seek God, if you have the mindset of Jesus Christ, you'll overcome the storm as He did.
Your storm maybe setbacks, sickness, infirmity, poverty, hardship or rejection, Paul and Silas faced their own storm in the prison, but they never gave in,, but started worshipping God, Jesus rose up and as He calmed the storm in the boat, He break the prison gates opened and the chains that were holding them loose.
Never choose the site of doubt because you see things somehow, Jesus Christ never begged for the storms to be calmed, but he commanded it because he knew himself and who He was, you as a child of God can also command that storm you are facing and it'll be silent and calmed in Jesus Christ Name 🙏.
