"You Are The Light Of The World!"
One musician said, "there are many questions than answers...." Jimmy Cliff sang, "I want to know, everybody wants to know..." On their part, Peter, Paul and Mary concluded that "the answer is blowing in the wind..."
So many things of God we can't understand but we just have to believe.
Each time I arrive that point of uncertainty and confusion, then like St Thomas Aquinas, I will conclude that "I believe because it is absurd."
Yes, "I am not skilled to understand what God had willed, what God had planned. I only know at his right hand stands one who is my Saviour."
As the plan of creation unfolds on this fourth day of creation, we are baffled that it is repeated like on the first day of creation, "Let there be lights..."
On day one the request for light was singular and this light separated from darkness to be called day as opposed to darkness.
When we talk of daylight it is likely a reference to the light of the first day of creation.
On this fourth day of creation the request for light is plural.
On this day, "God made two great lights - the greater light to govern the day and the lesser light to govern the night. He also made the stars... "(1:14-19).
We cannot belabour the point that everything that was created was created for our good.
Light is as important to our existence such that we have gone to great lengths to have supplements that can give us light when the created governing lights are absent.
Then comes Jesus with the great metaphor of light: "I am the light of the world... "
Again he says, "You are the light of the world. Let your light so shine amongst men so that they can give glory to your father who is in heaven."
Dear friend, may the light of Christ illuminate your ways so that you can shine his light on earth to the glory of God!
Prayer: Dear Lord as I struggle to be the light of the world, the works of darkness continue to overwhelm me and make me do the works of darkness. Forgive me where I have stumbled

"I Have Engraved You Upon The Palms Of My Hands...!"
When Ikemenfuna realised that his life was in danger he ran to Okwonkwo, the man he called father as his last hope of protection. But alas, at that instance Okwonko unsheathed his machete and killed the boy!
Okwonko had broken the unwritten moral code: "Never kill a child who calls you father!"
The repercussions for those who perpetuate such heinous evil are so far reaching; extending to many generations of their offspring.
The blood of the innocent spilled for whatever reason always cry out from the land. And the Lord hears!
My friend, your tears have darkened even your mind's eyes, such that you say, "The Lord has forsaken me, and my Lord has forgotten me."
No my friend, do not despair!
Hear the consoling words of the Lord to you who mourn the slaughter of your children:
"Can a woman forget her nursing child, that she should not have compassion on the son of her womb?... I will not forget you. Behold I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands... The children you shall have after you have lost the other, shall say again in your ears, The place is too narrow for me: give a place to me that I may dwell... "(Is. 49:14-21).
And to those that have done this to you, hear what the Lord says, "I will feed them that oppress you with their own flesh; and they shall be drunk with their own blood, as with sweet wine: and all flesh shall know that I the Lord am your Savior and your Redeemer..."(26).
Yes dear mourner, wipe your tears. Weeping may linger for the night, but joy comes in the morning!
God is fighting for you, and he assures you, "I have engraved you upon the palms of my hands."
Trust God for your restoration moment when he will prepare a table for you in the presence of your enemies! Leave everything in God's hands!
Have a blessed day! Peace be with you!

A man was hired to paint a boat. With his paint, brushes, and a steady hand, he began coating the boat in a vibrant red, as the owner had requested. As he worked, he noticed a small hole in the hull, barely noticeable to the untrained eye. Without saying a word, he repaired it, considering it part of his job.

Once he finished painting, the owner paid him, and the man left, content with his day's work. The next morning, however, the owner returned, holding a check far more generous than what was owed for the painting.

Surprised, the painter asked, "Sir, you've already paid me for the paint job. What is this for?"

The owner smiled and said, "This isn’t for the painting. It’s for fixing the hole in the boat."

The painter, puzzled, replied, "But that was such a small thing—certainly not worth this amount."

"My friend, you don’t understand," the owner began. "When I asked you to paint the boat, I didn’t even know about the hole myself. After you finished and the paint dried, my children took the boat out on a fishing trip without telling me. I was away, and when I got home, I was horrified to realize they had gone out in a boat with a hole in the hull."

The painter listened intently as the man continued, his voice now thick with emotion.

"I was terrified, thinking they might never return. But when they came back safely, I rushed to check the boat and found that you had repaired the hole. You didn’t just fix a boat—you saved my children’s lives. That’s something I can never fully repay."

The painter stood silent, absorbing the weight of the man’s words.

The owner added softly, "Sometimes, the smallest gestures can have the greatest impact. What seemed insignificant to you meant the world to me."

In life, we may unknowingly fix many “holes” for others—offering help, mending hearts, or simply being there when needed. We often don't realize how much those small actions can mean to someone else.

You never know when your quiet kindness might save a life. Keep helping.

"Trust In God's Word, He Will Ensure Your Daily Bread!"
Some people put "juju" by their fruit trees to inflict sickness on whoever steals a fruit. And while people are scared to pass by such trees, birds and animals enjoy the fruits freely. We are sometimes just too foolish in our so-called human wisdom.
Besides, we shouldn't be too quick to blame the animals that take our stuffs away. Sometimes they are just messengers of God!
God told Elijah to hide in a ravine where ravens brought him bread and meat morning and evening. He ate and drank from the brook. This was in fulfilment of the words of the Lord to him, "Leave here, turn eastward and hide in the Kerithe Ravine, east of the Jordan. You will drink from the brook, and I have ordered the ravens to feed you there"(I Kgs 17:1-6).
When you trust on the word of the Lord he will surely provide.
Man does not live by bread alone but by God's words. When you obey his words, he will surely always provide in your times of greatest needs!
Dear friend, welcome to a new week. Stay positive and hopeful and depend on the word of the Lord! If you are a delegate to the National Dialogue, may the Lord through the Holy Spirit fill you with words that when spoken would achieve positive reaction. May the Holy Spirit inspire the deliberations so that the outcome of the meeting should bring justice, thus ensuring the restoration of security, peace and stability to the NoSo regions!
Prayer: Lord I trust in your word that you will protect me and provide for me in times of need in the name of Jesus Christ, your Son our Lord. Amen!
Have a blessed day and week! Peace be with you!

A man found a cocoon of a butterfly. One day a small opening appeared. He sat and watched the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to force its body through that little hole. Until it suddenly stopped making any progressand looked like it was stuck. So the man decided to help the butterfly. He took a pair of scissors and snipped off the remaining bit of the cocoon. The butterfly then emerged easily, although it had a swollen body and small, shriveled wings. The man didn’t think anything of it and sat there waiting for the wings to enlarge to support the butterfly. But that didn’t happen. The butterfly spent the rest of its life unable to fly, crawling around with tiny wings and a swollen body.

Despite the kind heart of the man, he didn’t understand that the restricting cocoon and the struggle needed by the butterfly to get itself through the small opening were God’s way of forcing fluid from the body of the butterfly into its wings to prepare itself for flying once it was out of the cocoon.

Moral of the story:

Sometimes, we hurt the ones we love by trying to make life easy for them. Our struggles in life develop our strengths. Without struggles, we never grow and never get stronger. Sometimes it’s important for us to be there for *support *but let others **tackle **challenges on their own.

This is especially true with our children! It hurts us to watch them struggle . . . and a lot of times it's just easier, faster, and simpler for us to do things ourselves . . . but kids need to learn how to do things on their own.

We have a family on our community that I admire SO much. Their two boys (guessing 10 and 13) are big into rodeo. Ever sine they were little, they get up early and put in long hours taking care of their animals, plus work at all kind of jobs to raise the money for entry fees and expenses. As you read this, they are working their way to Oklahoma Nationals.

You don't have to have that high of goals, but teaching kids regualar life skills, plus
