Do not lie in wait like an outlaw against a righteous man's house, do not raid his dwelling place; for though a righteous man falls seven times, he rises again.
Proverbs 24:15-16 (NIV)
When the favour of God rests upon you wherever you are, like it was upon Joseph, you cannot help but find favour everywhere you go, everything that you do cannot help but prosper, and you cannot help but experience increase and promotion beyond your wildest imagination! No matter what the odds are against you, you always come out prosperous and successful.
Can you see that this was the consistent pattern in Joseph’s life? It didn’t matter if he was a slave or prisoner. When the favour of God is upon you, you are like a rubber ball in a pool of water. Men and natural circumstances may push you down and keep you suppressed, but the favour of God will always cause you to pop right up to the top!
There are many times where the lowest points in your life are actually launching pads to God’s greatest promotion in your life. It was so for Joseph! Though he fell many times, he rose back again each time stronger and higher until he became the highest man in the land of Egypt. When you look back, it is clear that the Lord had turned Joseph’s darkest hour into his finest hour!
God’s presence with Joseph and His favour caused
Joseph to be promoted from the pit to the palace. The God who took Joseph from the pit to Potiphar’s estate is with your God. The God who took Joseph from the prison to the palace is with you right now. Stop looking at your circumstances and stop allowing them to discourage you. You cannot fail! You will succeed no matter what!
Confession:
The favour of God is at work my life. I will not look at my present circumstances. Even though things may be dark and hopeless yet my heart will trust in the Lord. I will rejoice and be glad because I am the favoured of the Lord and everything is working together to produce good for me.
Power Point:
Whether you fall down or you are pushed down does not matter. God’s favour will raise you to a higher plane.
