📖 Who do you say Jesus is?
The answer changes everything.

Today at Jerusalem UMC Douala, Grand Baobab just behind the mosque, we were reminded of one powerful truth from Matthew 16:13-20. Jesus asked, who do people say I am? Peter answered, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

When you truly know who Jesus is, everything shifts. Your fear loses its grip. Your past no longer defines you. Your future is secured. He is not just a name you hear in church. He is the Christ who sees you, saves you, and builds His life upon you.

You may feel overlooked, weak, or forgotten, but Jesus is calling you by name today. He is building something solid in your life that no storm can shake. Stand on Him.

🗞️ Coastal District Men Participate in the National Conference of United Methodist Men in Yaoundé 🙏

Theme: “United to Build the Kingdom!”
Location: Carmel Parish, Minkoa-Meyos, Yaoundé

The United Methodist Church in Cameroon officially opened the first National Conference of United Methodist Men at Carmel Parish, Yaoundé — and the men of the Coastal District were present in full force!

Joined by brothers from the Central District and alongside the District Superintendents, the Coastal District Men gathered for days of fellowship, spiritual formation, reflection, and mission under one banner: “United to Build the Kingdom.”

🇨🇲 Highlights

🚶 A Walk of Unity and Fellowship
The men joined the opening walk from the roadside to the church , a beautiful expression of brotherhood, unity and faith. Side by side with Central District brothers, we walked together in support of the Church and her mission.

🙏 Morning of Devotion and Reflection
Led by Rev. Ngo Um Julienne, the devotion time was a moment of deep prayer, meditation and recommitment. The men lifted their voices in prayer, seeking God’s guidance for our families, communities, and the mission of the Church.

🤝 Building a Common Vision
The Conference set a clear goal: to strengthen the ministry of United Methodist Men and establish a 2026–2027 roadmap. Coastal District representatives contributed actively to discussions on how the church can grow, serve, and support the mission of the United Methodist Church.

🏅 Moment of Recognition
Certificates were presented to participants in appreciation of their commitment and service. It was a proud moment for all Men as they were honored for their participation, fellowship, and dedication to learning and leadership.

🙌 Closing in Thanksgiving
The conference ended with gratitude for God’s faithfulness. As they return to their communities , they carry back a renewed spirit of unity, faith, and service.

One Message they're Bringing Home:
Two Districts. One Movement. One Vision. One Mission.
United in faith. United in fellowship. United in service. United to build the Kingdom!

The United Methodist Church in Cameroon gives thanks to God, the Bishop, the District Superintendents, and to the Organizing Committee for this historic gathering.

Let’s continue the work. The Kingdom is being built and the Men are ready to serve! 💪

Today at Jerusalem UMC Douala, Grand Baobab, just behind the mosque, God reminded us of three truths.
God can turn what was meant to hurt you into a plan to save many.
Even in persecution and scattering, God spreads His word and builds His church.
And when you stand for Him, He gives you the words, the strength, and the courage to endure.

You are not forgotten. Your story is not over. God is working behind the scenes for your good and for the good of many. Hold on. Keep speaking truth. Keep walking in faith.

📖 Beyond the Waves: God Still Holds You
