*Exaltation on Psalms 107:7*
"And he led them forth by the right way, that they might go to a city of habitation"
************************************★

Changeful experience often leads the anxious believer to enquire "why is it thus with me?"
_I looked for light but I got darkness, I looked for peace but I got more trouble, yesterday I could think straight but today my evidences are blurred and my hopes are clouded_

1. Is this part of God's plan with me?
2. Can this be the way in which God will bring me to heaven?

Yes, it is even so. The darkness of your mind, the fainting of your hopes, all these are but parts of God's method of making you ripe for your inheritance upon which you shall soon enter so long as you are genuinely patient with God's works

These trials are for the testing and strengthening of your faith, they are waves that wash you further to the rock, they are winds which wash your ship even swiftly to desired port.

*By honor and dishonor, by evil report and by good report, by plenty and by poverty, by joy and by distress, by persecution and by peace, by all these things is the life of your souls maintained, and by each of these are you helped on your way

*Ohh believer, think not that your sorrows are out of God's plan;they rather are necessary parts of it*

_"We must, through much tribulation, enter heaven(Charles Spurgeon)"_

Learn, then, even to count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations.

*Exaltation for you tonight.*

1 Kings 19:4 while he himself went a day's journey into the wilderness. He came to a broom bush, sat down under it and prayed that he might die. "I have had enough, LORD," he said. "Take my life; I am no better than my ancestors."

How remarkable it is to hear such words from a man who was never to die, the man who at an appointed time will be taken to heaven by chariots of fire...
Gripped by fear to the extent of praying, "Let me die, I am no better than my fathers"

I see here a memorable proof that God doesn't answer prayers in kind, though He always does so in effect(in accordance to His will).
*He gave Elijah something better than what he prayed for thereby answering his prayer*

We thus note that God wouldn't give us everything we ask for: remark _we ask and dont receive because we ask amiss_

But when we ask in faith without doubting; if we don't receive exactly what we prayed for, we shall receive an equivalence, a more than equivalent, THE WILL OF GOD.

So, avail much in prayer and make this season one of Ernest intercession, but take heed what you ask for in prayer.

THE PRESENT STATE OF THE SAINTS.

_Ecclesiastes 10:7 I have seen slaves on horseback, while princes go on foot like slaves._

Creation on the face of earth have inverted the kingship. Upstarts frequently usurp the highest positions while the truly great pine in obscurity. See how the servile sons of the devil Lord rule over the earth while Christians seem to wallow now presently in suffering...
See how

1. Haman is in the court while Mordecai sits in the gate
2. David wanders in the mountains while Saul reigns as king
3. Elijah complains in a cave while Jezebel is boasting in the palace.

*Yet, so to ask: who would wish to take the place of proud rebels? And who will desire the place of the despised saints?*

When the wheel turns, the highest will sink while the lowly will be great. Patience then ohh ye believer, eternity will right the wrongs of time.

Let ye therefore not fall into the error of letting passions and carnal appetites ride in triumph, while noble powers walk in the dust.

Grace, must reign as a prince and make members of the body instruments of righteousness. Let us therefore ask for grace that we may keep under our body and bring it to subjection.

We were not created to let our passions usurp us but that we, as kings may reign in Christ Jesus over the triple kingdom of Spirit, Soul, and body to the glory of God the Father.

At times in life, we hold so much in heart that we forget to see the beauty of life and how much God works miracles for us...

Ohh what needless pain we bear. We have the choice to bear the needless pains or to let it all go and enjoy God's wonders in our lives...

Take it all to God in prayer.
He knows what you are going through, your strength can only avail when you place all your trust upon Him.

His yoke is easy and light, trade your sorrow and pain for the joy of the Lord

We have a friend in Jesus.

_*Romans 1:24 Therefore God gave them up in the lusts of their hearts to impurity, to the dishonoring of their bodies among themselves,*_

Judicial abandonment occurs when God in His infinite mercy gives one over to the devil because of how much the one resisted the truth...

The most arduous thing in life is not necessarily knowing that when you die, you'd go to hell...
*It is the total and veritable absence and void of God in your life while you still live.*

Having to do the evil you cherish without restraints, perfecting every lustful act without a hold from God in thoughts... This is most grievous

I fear and quake when the name of God is mentioned... For it is my blessing or my damnation. What is your choice?

*Rethinking the paths*

John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who looks on the Son and believes in him should have eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day."

John 6:44 No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day.

Does it contradict?
I don't think so

The second is an explanation to the first. _The means of getting to God is by God bringing the one to self, and simultaneously no one has the ability of looking up to the Father except he be called of the Father to the son._

Philippians 2:13 for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Reflect
happy week.

*MEEKNESS OF WISDOM*

James 3:13 Who is wise and understanding among you? By his good conduct let him show his works in the *meekness of wisdom*.
_________________________________ ______
True wisdom contains meekness (simplicity and submission) towards the true wisdom giver(God). Anything contrary to this is totally demonic(James 3:15).
_________________________________________
_If the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom(Prov9:10), and that God derives pleasure from those who fear Him(Psalm147:10-11); then am tempted to conclude that "the reason why God makes wisdom available to mankind is to awaken in us that tremendous awe and reverence to God which naturally pleases Him"_

Conclusively: seek wisdom as the principal thing(Prov4:7),ask God sincerely(James1:5).

*Do all these in meekness, because it is the meekness that the world sees*

Qn: What is the goal of Creation?

Looking at the goal of creation, we shouldn't limit ourselves to 6days(an imperfect number in the Hebrew numerology) when when raised by 3 gives 666(total imperfection).

Rather we should continue to day 7(perfection) where God rested, He hallowed and made the day holy not only for the creation period but also throughout eternity. In that we get in this time a cycle which at the end of each week we look up to heaven and enjoy the SABBATH REST.

The goal of creation is the sabbath holiness of Christ. The goal of creation is Rest, resting in the fullness of Christ.
The only reason we exist is because of Christ
We live and have our being in Christ
By Him was the world made...

Actually, "To live is Christ and to die is gain" (Phil 1:21)

*Back to the basics(B2B) series*
```Why am I a christian?```
- Is it a decision I made?
- Is it a change of habit?
- Is it a sermon I believed in?
All these are highly necessary for the believe process(Rom10:13-17), but go short of truth when related to the very reason why we are Christians.
*..I believe because Christ is the reason for my being..*. This answer came from a friend, and amongst all others it goes closest to explaining why we are Christians.
No amount of decision makes us Christians, but its by God's sovereign will.
See something...
Acts 17:28 ' *For in him we live and move and have our being*.' As some of your own poets have said, 'We are his offspring.'
John 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.
These verses lay huge emphasis on Christ as the substance of our being Christians.
The question we should not ask is: why is there only one way to God? But we should ask, why is there actually a way to God even?
Mercy and Grace. God does so, in order for no man to boast on his decision or sermon or ability to redirect his/her acts etc(Ref: 1Cor4:7;Eph2:9).
*It is for your sake, that you can't be a christian by works nor by law*
We are Christians by divine choice of mercy and Grace.
```Reflect.```

BACK TO THE BASICS SERIES
Qn: What is the Gospel?

Gospel=good message from angels=bringing of good tidings= good news.

1. The gospel is not the good news of Christ
2. The gospel is not the walk into eternity
3. The gospel is not the earthly christian lives we lead.

The gospel is *Christ*
John 1:3 Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made.

All the aforementioned points form part of the gospel but are not the foundation of the gospel-Christ.

The Christ's gospel is that he came as our propitiation(1John2:2), lived among men and without sin(2Cor5:21),chose to show grace and mercy rather than justice to us for all man were sinners(Rom3:23) and then sat at the right side of God interceding on our behalf(Mark16:19)....

The gospel mostly to some, ends here but no.

The gospel is incomplete without the coming again of Christ with His chariots of warriors.Isaiah prophesied this in Isaiah 66:15, to tresh the wheat from the grass(Luke3:17) and to be the stumbling block to them that believe not(1Pet2:8-10).

Our belief in Christ is what makes the cross of Christ effective in cleansing us from previous sin.

Our daily actions inspired by the holy spirit are what pave our way to living the true Christ centered life, the gospel.

And at the end of times, the choices we make today will either be the reason for our eternal damnation or glorification.

The gospel is complete this way: on one facet we have mercy and grace, and on the other hand we have Justice. This is what Christ presents to us throughout scripture.

Think.
