Theme: The Necessity of Stillness

"Be still, and know that I am God." — Psalm 46:10

In a world filled with noise, pressure, distractions, and constant activity, the call to stillness has become more important than ever. Rev. Malachi reminded the congregation that although many things in life may appear necessary, stillness before God is one of the greatest necessities for every believer.

According to the preacher, stillness is not simply the absence of noise; it is a state of calmness, trust, and surrender before God. The greatest noise we often experience does not come from outside but from within our own minds — our fears, worries, and thoughts about things that have not even happened.

Many times, our minds become so occupied with worries that we fail to hear God's voice. However, when we learn to become still, we create space to know God, understand His purpose, and receive His direction.

Rev. Malachi explained that knowing God requires more than just information about Him. Many people know about God based on what they have heard or been taught, but true knowledge of God comes through personal relationship, quietness, and deeper fellowship with Him.

He further emphasized that God is not discovered through chaos and confusion, but through a calm and peaceful heart. Stillness allows believers to experience new revelations of God and develop a deeper understanding of His character.

The preacher also encouraged believers to remain calm during difficult seasons. In times of trouble, we must remember that God is still in control. We are called to trust Him, depend on Him, and find peace in His presence.

PREPARATORY FASTING AND PRAYERS FOR THE TACC INTERNATIONAL THREE-DAY WOMEN’S FASTING

The women of TACC International, Bamenda III Metropolis, gathered at TACC Ntamulung on Wednesday, 5th August 2026, for a preparatory fasting and prayer session ahead of the forthcoming TACC International Three-Day Women’s Fasting Programme.

Topic: Hindrances to Miracles

Texts: Joshua 7:13; Mark 10:27; Mark 10:46–52; Ephesians 6:12

Message

God is always willing to perform miracles, but believers must position themselves spiritually to receive them. Apt. A. Obi reminded the Church that inadequate spiritual preparation, unconfessed sin, fear, human limitations, and spiritual forces can hinder God’s miraculous intervention in our lives.

The preacher encouraged every woman to examine her life, repent sincerely, and prepare her heart as we approach the three-day fasting programme. Like blind Bartimaeus, we must not allow fear, criticism or discouragement to stop us from responding when God presents us with a divine opportunity.

The message also challenged believers to remain faithful after receiving God’s blessings by living lives of obedience, sharing their testimonies, and continuing steadfastly in prayer and service. We were reminded that the upcoming fasting is not merely a routine programme but a divine opportunity to encounter God and experience His transforming power.

The service concluded with fervent prayers for God’s presence throughout the three-day fasting, asking for healing, restoration, breakthroughs, divine encounters, and the destruction of every hindrance to the manifestation of His power.

Main Text: Proverbs 30:12
Luke 7:37–50

Self-righteousness is the attitude of believing that we are better, holier or more deserving than others. It makes us depend on our own goodness instead of the grace of God.

In Luke 7:37–50, Simon the Pharisee judged the sinful woman, but she came to Jesus with humility, repentance and love. Simon saw her past, but Jesus saw her faith and brokenness.

1. Self-Righteousness Prevents Brokenness Before Jesus

The woman came to Jesus in tears, recognising her need for mercy. Simon, however, remained proud and judgmental.

God gives grace to the humble. We must be willing to repent, accept correction and acknowledge our need for Him.

2. Self-Righteousness Prevents You from Seeing and Appreciating God’s Gift of Salvation

Simon did not fully appreciate forgiveness because he did not recognise his own need for grace. The woman understood that she had been forgiven much, so she loved much.

Salvation is not earned through good works. It is a gift from God through Jesus Christ.

Self-righteousness says, “I deserve it.”
Grace says, “Jesus freely gave it to me.”

3. Self-Righteousness Prevents You from Honouring God and the Gift of Men

Simon invited Jesus into his home but failed to honour Him. The woman, however, honoured Jesus with everything she had.

Pride can stop us from recognising what God has placed in others. We may never receive from people we refuse to honour.

Honour God and appreciate the people He brings into your life.

Conclusion

Self-righteousness produces pride, judgment and spiritual blindness. Let us remain humble, grateful for salvation and willing to honour God and others.

Prayer:
Lord, deliver us from pride and self-righteousness. Give us humble hearts, help us appreciate the gift of salvation and teach us to honour You and the people You have placed in our lives. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

DO NOT FORGET

Human beings naturally forget. Yet God continually calls us to remember His goodness, His faithfulness, and the people He uses to impact our lives.

During today’s message, Rev. Malachi reminded us that while God has given us the ability to forget, there are certain things we must never allow to slip from our hearts.

1. Do Not Forget God

One of the quickest persons people tend to forget is God. Many cry to Him in times of trouble, asking for His help, protection, and blessings. However, after receiving His answers, they often move on without gratitude. Let us always remember the God who has sustained us and brought us this far.

2. Do Not Forget How You Were Saved

“By this gospel you are saved…” (1 Corinthians 15:1-2)

We must never forget the Word of God that brought salvation into our lives. When believers lose sight of the gospel, they become vulnerable to the enemy’s attacks. Always remember the grace that rescued you and the truth that transformed you.

3. Do Not Forget Your Humble Beginnings

Remember where God brought you from. Your testimony did not begin where you are today. Staying mindful of your beginnings helps you remain humble, grateful, and focused. When people forget where they came from, they often lose sight of where they are going.

4. Do Not Forget Those Who Helped You

No one succeeds alone. God uses people to support, encourage, mentor, and lift us along the journey of life. Never forget those who stood by you in difficult times and contributed to your growth.

As we celebrate God’s servant who has faithfully labored among us in this district, let us be reminded to cultivate a heart of gratitude and remembrance.

“Bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits.” — Psalm 103:2

May we never forget God, His Word, our salvation, our beginnings, and the people He has used as blessings in our lives.
