Deletion of recorded errors. 1corinthians 13:4-7.
Every day we accumulate experiences that we will remember later, and we hope to have joyful memories of these moments. But sometimes bad things happen and have a permanent impact on our lives. Sometimes disabilities arise as a result of someone else's poor choices. A drunk driver can walk away from a car accident leaving a passenger permanently affected by a physical or mental impairment. A person can cause great harm to others through negligent or selfish actions. How can we consider forgiving such wrongs?
Forgiveness involves voluntarily letting go of the serious actions and sins of others. You choose not to remember the faults of others. Psalm 103:8-12 demonstrates God's intentional forgiveness. He will not constantly accuse us (although He has the right to do so), and He has removed our sins as far from us as the East is from the West. It is an eternal distance; the two horizons never meet. God willingly removes our sins from His sight and remembers them no more! How can we practice such forgiveness? Only the love that the Holy Spirit has given us can transform our hearts enough to “keep no trace of what has been done evilly” (1 Corinthians 13:5). This kind of forgiveness is forged by God's grace in our hearts and is motivated by true love for others.
It is very difficult to forgive others when we constantly have our own suffering and difficulties in focus. how God dealt with offenses: "For thus God loved the world: He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life" (John 3: 16). God's love for us led Him to sacrifice His Son to forgive our sins. Are we supposed to forgive like that? Yes! But not with our own strength! We will naturally remember the events of our life. There are some things you can never literally “forget”. But do we keep a “record” of the wrongs of others? Do we remember or relive the negative details every time we see the person?
Biblical forgiveness does not erase our memories, but it allows us to erase the record of wrongs and live in restored relationships. In time, and through God's Spirit, we will find that love has replaced our negative thoughts and feelings toward those who have hurt us. Good day to all. Apostle kra.k
