Last Saturday, the youth of Libertad Church joyfully celebrated Mother’s Day through a heartfelt program dedicated to all the amazing mothers of the church. The event was filled with love, appreciation, and gratitude as the youth prepared special performances, messages, and simple surprises to honor the sacrifices, strength, and unconditional love of every mother. Their smiles and joyful presence truly made the celebration meaningful and memorable.

This special gathering reminded everyone of the important role mothers play in nurturing faith, guiding families, and inspiring the next generation. A Blessed Sabbath Together 🤍

Last Saturday, we were reminded that the Sabbath is not just a day of rest, but a sacred time to draw closer to God and to one another. Even in simple moments of fellowship, worship, and reflection, our hearts were renewed and our faith strengthened as we honored the Lord together.

“Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy.” — Exodus 20:8

See and Care for the Forgotten

One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer—at three in the afternoon. Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts. When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money. Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!” So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them. Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.” Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong. He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God. When all the people saw him walking and praising God, they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.

Love our Family of Faith as Jesus Does

Those who accepted his message were baptized, and about three thousand were added to their number that day. The Fellowship of the Believers They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Everyone was filled with awe at the many wonders and signs performed by the apostles. All the believers were together and had everything in common. They sold property and possessions to give to anyone who had need. Every day they continued to meet together in the temple courts. They broke bread in their homes and ate together with glad and sincere hearts, praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. And the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.

Discipline Children and All Generations to Speak for Jesus

But to stop this thing from spreading any further among the people, we must warn them to speak no longer to anyone in this name. Then they called them in again and commanded them not to speak or teach at all in the name of Jesus.”

Repentance and the Filling of the Holy Spirit

“On one occasion, while he was eating with them, he gave them this command: “Do not leave Jerusalem, but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you have heard me speak about. For John baptized with water, but in a few days you will be baptized with the Holy Spirit.”

"Humbly Come Together in the Mind of Christ"

“Then the apostles returned to Jerusalem from the hill called the Mount of Olives, a Sabbath day’s walk from the city. When they arrived, they went upstairs to the room where they were staying. Those present were Peter, John, James and Andrew; Philip and Thomas, Bartholomew and Matthew; James son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot, and Judas son of James. They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.”
