In Gods model, monogamy is the uncompromising standard and requirement.
His initiation and personal involvement in the marriage of the first couple in the world Adam and Eve also show that He wants to be involved from the foundation of our marriage. Many marriages are wrong and horrible because their foundations are faulty. Nevertheless, the good news about cases like that still remains that God can heal and repair a marriage with faulty foundation.
